This song is hot, but it was hotter without the addition of Diddy and Joc. The track kind of has a reminiscent sound of Usher's "In The Club".
That Diddy is such the self-promoter, Ciroc Obama...hmmmm ok. This album just might be fire, can't wait!

M.Y. Leaked Music: Trey Songz-I Need A Girl

Here is new music from Trey Songz for his song "I Need A Girl". I was expecting a little more hotness from Trey but I guess this will do.
I feel he kept it safe on this song but I know that Trey has it in him to take it there. I would love for there to be competition in the male arena. Yesterday I said we were in dire need of a top male R&B act, but silly me forgot all about Neyo who is dominating the genre right now and is shelling out hits like hot sweet potato pie.
Side Order: Love his eyes...
It's just no fun when there isn't any competition or variety in R&B. I'm rooting for you Trey but for now this is a pass.

Leaked Music: Nas ft. Marsha Ambrosius-If I Ruled The World (2009)

I loved the original 1996 "If I Ruled The World" featuring the baddest chick in R&B (back then) Lauryn Hill. Everyone and their mother loved that song and you could hear it bumping out of every one's cars on the highest volume possible to the point that you could hear the car vibrate from a mile away.
Nas headed back in the studio to give us a more modern day "If I Ruled The World" featuring Marsha Ambrosius the young lady from Floetry.
The song still has that xylophone bounce on the track but it sounds a lot more futuristic. I love it. I personally wouldn't compare the original "If I Ruled The World" because I feel they have a different sound and plus Marsha doesn't follow the same pattern Lauryn did. You decide, check out the original below. I will say though, in the original, Nas sounded a lot hungrier and raw.

M.Y. Leaked Music: The Dream-Put It Down

The Dream's music is getting leaked left and right on the web. Here is his song "Put It Down", that will appear on The Dream's upcoming album Love vs. Money due in stores March 10th.
The song is OK at best, nothing that has a lasting impression or that stands out. I can definitely see this being the song that lovers choose to play during their "sessions" ::wink, wink::.
My issue with The Dream is the fact that he continuously recycles his past songwritings. For instance, in this song he uses the same ad libs used in J. Holiday's song "Bed" that he [Dream]
wrote.
I'm just looking for a little imagination and creativity. The Dream still hasn't blown me out the water but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that the album holds a lot more jewels.

M.Y. Leaked Music: Keri Hilson ft. Neyo & Kanye West-Knock You Down + video blog

Keri has caused quite a buzz these past couple of days as a result of her R&B diss track floating around the Internet like a rubber ducky in a bath tub. Her album drops March 24th and she has kicked her promotion into over drive with the leak of her latest track titled "Knock You Down" ft. Neyo and Kanye West.
The track is hot. I adore Keri and I've grown to expect quality material from her. She's spent some time writing songs for numerous artists in both the R&B and Pop genre so she knows her stuff.
However, I don't think she has a large enough fan base to assist this album into become a platinum selling album. Her recent jab at the mysterious R&B diva has helped in drawing attention to herself but will it be enough for people to even remember when her album hits stores? We'll have to wait and see.
Check out her video blog below.

Got Beef: Keri Hilson vs. Beyonce?!

Yeah, that's what I thought when I heard that Keri Hilson was supposedly getting at Beyonce on a remix track to her song "Turnin' Me On"! The original song will appear on Keri's long awaited album A Perfect Me that is due in stores March 24th.
So why would people think that Keri is getting at Beyonce? Check out the track below.
Whew! Who could she be telling to "go and have some babies"? If this is true, this would be the first R&B beef between female artists in a very very long time minus the other rumored beefs that turned out to be false.
This week sure is full of artists expressing themselves huh?
Side Order: Damn Beyonce, they want you out the game boo! Tell em' why you mad Keri, tell em' why you mad...or is it Ciara she's talking about? Keri did write songs for her and in the song she said "check the credits ho", things that make you say hmmm.
M.Y. verdict: I think Keri went all the way gangster and called out BOTH Beyonce and Ciara. As a matter of fact, I think she called out every female singer in the industry. She did say "Them other chicks ain't worth my time to talk about".

M.Y. Leaked Music: J.Wells ft. Estelle, Styliztik Jones & Verse "You Don't Love Me"

Here is leaked music from J.Wells ft. Estelle, Styliztik Jones and Verse. "You Don't Love Me" will appear on J. Wells' album Digital Master Vol 2.1 scheduled for an April 14th release.
I'm feeling this song. It has a 70's type laid back sound and Estelle's voice of course compliments the track rather nicely. The track was produced by J. Wells. Check it out!

M.Y. Leaked Music: Day 26-Put It On You
I could never get into this group for two reasons; one because they are under Bad Boy Records and every time I so much as like an artist from Bad Boy they end up vanishing, and for two because they all kind of annoy me with the exception of Mike, I love me some Mike.
But this song right here is a banger and I can't help but to love it. It's a lot more up-tempo as appose to the songs on their first album and it makes you want to listen to it over and over again, I've listened to it 3 times in counting.
The album is looking to be a banger judging by the songs that they have previewed on their show Making The Band 4 on MTV. I just hope they can stick around.
Side Order: I know that their group name holds a very sincere meaning but it sounds like a pregnancy test, no?
M.Y. Bulk Leaked Music: The Dream + Ryan + J Holiday
Here is a leaked track from The Dream entitled "What's Wrong With U" which according to the track listing is not on the album, thank the heavens for that. Me no likey this song one bit. It has a very whinny tone to it and with someone who has a high pitch voice as is, The Dream should make it an effort to sing at his normal tone. But he does get points for trying something a little different.
Here is a leaked track from Ryan Leslie entitled "One In Million". This song actually did not make the album but is hot all the more. It's that song you play when you are feeling bad about letting that one good girl/guy go, kind of like kicking yourself for being stupid, you know the usual. I am in love with his voice I can not lie.
Here is a leaked track from J. Holiday titled "Don't Leave". Judging by the music Holiday has put out for this album Round 2, I am kind of anticipating it. Does not look like he's going to suffer the sophomore effort doom because he is putting out quality material.

M.Y. Leaked Music: Mary J. Blige ft. Neyo-Love

Here is leaked music from mama Hip Hop and R&B Mary J. Blige featuring Neyo. The song is called "Love" and it is so damn touching.
Click here if you can not see the player.
The lyrics are so deep and real that I'm positive Neyo wrote. It really makes you think and feel. I've been waiting for these two to do a song together.
Does this mean we are about to get a Mary album?! Oh, pretty please Mary!!

Leaked Music: Teairra Mari ft. Flo Rida-Cause A Scene

Another single from Teairra Mari has made its way on the web and it's o.k. to say the least. It features Flo Rida which was an interesting and random pair up.
"Cause A Scene" in my opinion could have been better and will most likely get minimal radio play if it even makes it there. If she knows her ish, she would see that releasing "Built For This" would do her a lot of good. I'm still crossing my fingers for you girl!

Leaked Music: Jennifer Lopez-Hooked On You

Here is a leaked track entitled "Hooked On You" from JLO who has been missing in action from the music scene for sometime. Now a mother and wife...again, Jennifer is bringing that fire.
I actually really like this song. It has a very Janet-esque sound with high pumping base and a flow that rides like a brand new Ferrari with the exception of annoying moaning and vocals. This is a hot song and a perfect accessory for Jennifer's return.
Leaked Music: Ciara ft. Justin Timberlake-Love And Sex And Magic

Ciara calls on her Scorpio nature to bring us a hit! I love this song, it has all of the important elements and is it me or does the addition of Justin Timberlake do wonders for R&B/Hip Hop artists?
This is said to be the next single to be released for radio play off of her album. Now I am a little excited for the release of Fantasy Ride on April 7th. It has a very pop club feel that can be played on all radio stations...except for country and gospel of course.

Leaked Music: Missy Elliot ft. Pharrell Williams & Teyana-Put It On You

Missy steps back on the scene with this new track. It's called "Put It On You" and it is off of her long awaited album Block Party. This by the way is a short snippet of the original song.
There is far too much going on in this track to focus and most importantly, huh?!
I never got Pig Latin and although it sounds great at first it becomes pretty annoying and confusing. But then again, none of Missy's songs follow a familiar blueprint.
Either way, it's great to see Missy making an appearance on the music scene again.

Leaked Music: Keri Hilson-Turn Up The Radio

Talent strikes again! I loves Keri Hilson! This song is f.i.r.e. to the 10th power. I had to listen to this baby twice. I wasn't too pleased with her feature on Ryan Leslie's remix for How It Was Supposed To Be, (I was informed by a loyal reader that this may not have been her even though the link to the track says "feat Keri Hilson"); either way, this song makes me forget all about that.
Polow Da Don produces this track and boy did he stick his foot all up in this one. Keri better watch out, she about to knock a few chic's off their thrones if she keeps on putting out hits like this. It's just a matter of time.

Leaked Music: Ryan Leslie ft. Keri Hilson-How It Was Supposed To Be
Not a fan of the remix at all.
First of all, Keri is a great singer and I don't feel like she brought it. I'm beginning to think that the track was released without being properly mixed because it seems like the beat is overpowering Keri's voice. It sounds like her voice is coming from far away; Pretty much it's hard to make out what her hook is.
Either way, I'm sure there's an explanation for this, I hope. I love the song but the remix could have been ALOT better. I still adore the both of you, just make sure to refrain from feeding us garbage or my adoration will turn sour :-).

Leaked Music: Busta Rhymes-Wack

Busta might just be on to something with this one. I haven't been very pleased with the songs he's put out that are slated to appear on his upcoming album B.O.M.B. but this song is a real head bopper.
It isn't the old Busta but this is the closest we're going to get folks.
I just wish these aging rappers (sorry I know no other way to get my point across) would stay true to the style's that made them. They can evolve with the times and still stay true to self. Look at Jay-Z, he was able to still remain Jay but still mold with what's hot now. I guess not everyone has that certain spark.

Leaked Music: 50 Cent responds-Officer Ricky

I guess I was giving 50 just a little too much credit, the man started his career off of beef. With that said here is his response to Rick Ross. Oh! And he decided to take the liberty to also include DJ Khaled in the diss. Let's just hope these boys keep it clean.

Leaked Music: Rick Ross ft. John Legend-Magnificent

John Legend is who the rappers call when they want to make a song that will attract the ladies, him or Neyo. Rick Ross' single "Magnificent" featuring John Legend surfaced on the web and might be one of the options officer I mean Rick Ross can choose from as far as personas go.
The beat is very mystical like and John does a great job as usual. I'm neutral on Rick though that whole exposure thing has really left a bad taste with me. Anyway, it is a little let up from "Mafia Music"; I'm surprised 50 hasn't said anything about it. Maybe he just thinks Rick isn't worth it, that must sting huh Ross?

Leaked Music: Lil Wayne "Prom Queen"

Now let me make this clear, I get the emails from readers asking me why I don't post info on Lil Wayne and I thought I made it quite crystal that I was not a fan of Wayne, and instead of posting insignificant things therefore making me dislike the kid even more, I'll post info on him in small intervals.
I respect his hustle and him as a person but the sound of Wayne's voice on a record gives me heartburn. With that said, I was sent a link to Wayne's recent song leak for his single "Prom Queen" off of his debut Rock album Rebirth. Rock music is not my forte and I will admit I do enjoy Rock music from time to time so there's no hate here.
In this leaked track, Wayne sings a la auto-tunes over screeching guitars and heavy bass and drums. I don't think there is anything special about the song simply because it caused me to have a flashback about 08' when Hip Hop was infected with auto-tunes. Check it out for yourself. To read my article on the release date for Wayne's Rebirth click here.
