[NEWS] 50 Cent, Soulja Boy Affectionately Cover XXL

50 Cent and Soulja Boy are the cover boys for XXL's November issue.

This issue will feature two separate profiles on the odd pair as well as a "Q&A roundtable discussion between the two."

As you know, Soulja Boy is gearing up to release his next album The DeAndre Way while 50...well, he's around still making money doing whatever it is that he does.

50 said in one of the quotes from the interview that if he could be another artist, just for right now, that he would be Soulja Boy.

Soulja offered up his own bromantic quote, saying that "if there wasn’t no 50 Cent, there would be no Soulja Boy."

This issue of XXL will hit newsstands November 2.

Popcorn Moments: Cam'ron and 50 Cent Have It Out On Live Radio

Beefs can be so messy at times. But they can also be entertaining especially if the right egos are added to the equation. One of those entertaining beefs took place in February of 2007 between rappers Cam'ron and 50 Cent.

Cam'ron happened to be 50 Cent's latest beef in 50's slaughterhouse of beefs that trail from his 2003 debut, and thought it would be wise to call up the Angie Martinez show while 50 was live on the air.

Angie of course nervous about the impending conversation repeatedly tried to inquire on the status of their relationship. As if 50 would say no we don't get along, 50 gives his nod of approval and here enters Cam.

The two go back and forth about numbers, album sales, and monetary incomes. To say the least this is one business meeting I wish would be held privately with me as a fly on the wall *pops popcorn*...

Is There Any Merit To This 50 Cent/Diddy Beef, 50 Cent's Petition Against Diddy Seems To Say So

Yesterday, I discovered that 50 Cent started a petition on Twitter against Diddy to stop the mogul from profiting off of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.

At first I didn't think it was authentic only because I found it to be juvenile, but it seems that the petition is very real and 50 Cent is going for blood.

VIDEO PREMIERE: 50 CENT ft. NE-YO 'BABY BY ME'

Here is a new video from 50 Cent for his song "Baby By Me" that features Ne-Yo. The song samples a short snippet of a line 50 rapped in his single "I Get Money."

The video co-stars Kelly Rowland as 50 Cent's very lovely love interest. Before seeing this video, Kelly and 50 were the last people I would expect to be in a video together.

Now that I've seen the finished product I am impressed and think it was done in good taste, they look cute together. It's always interesting to see 50 adorn different hats to play roles, he can be the @$$hole one minute and then a sweetheart the next, just wow.

I wonder where this idea to have Kelly in the video came about in the first place.

Video Rating: A yummy B+.

50 Cent's 'Before I Self Destruct' track list

Loving the cover! I guess its official. Before I Self Destruct is actually going to see the light of day. I am curious, however, how well this album will do. Keep in mind the numerous push backs the album has received since last year.

Just doesn't seem like the anticipation for the LP is as high as it was in 08.

At any rate, here is the track listing:

1)The Invitation
2)Then Days Went By
3)Death To My Enemies
4)So Disrespect
5)Psycho
6)Hold Me Down
7)Crime Wave
8)Stretch
9)Strong Enough
10)Get It Hot
11)Gangsta's Delight
12)I Got Swag
13)Baby By Me (Featuring Ne-Yo)
14)Do You Think About Me
15)Ok, You're Right
16)Could've Been You

Jay-Z on David Letterman

Jay-Z recently appeared on David Letterman to promote his new album Blueprint 3 that hit stores Tuesday, September 8th.

Jay brought his funny and charismatic game to the table that had the crowd submerged in kicks and giggles.

Speaking of rappers and interviews, did you guys catch 50 Cent on CNBC?

People can say what they want, Curtis Jackson is a very intelligent man. Who else can build a multi-million dollar empire in such a short period of time? I have always been a fan of Curtis Jackson, it is that damn 50 Cent I detest.

He was on the show to promote his new book 50th Law. I love books so I might just stop by Barnes & Nobel and pick up my copy, there has to be some dropped jewels in those pages.

Video Premiere: 50 Cent-I'll Do Anything

Here is a new video from 50 Cent for his song "I'll Do Anything" off of his new mixtape War Angel LP available for free on www.thisis50.com.

I must have rolled my eyes through the entire thing for so many reasons that this post can not hold. Because I had a grand breakfast this morning and am feeling fabulous, I won't go in but I must say, shame on the person that failed to send 50 a memo regarding designer prints. I thought we let that go after 2004.

He is being sweet yet rude to females in the song which has me a bit confused. Overall I don't think this song is a good look. The great news is, it's free!

Video Rating: A yummy C-.

Music Menu: 50 Cent-Ok, You're Right

Here is new music from 50 Cent titled "Ok, You're Right" off of his album Before I Self Destruct.

>>Download<<

It is of course produced by Dr. Dre and has the ordinary presence of Dre's lively church organ addition in the beat which allows the beat to ride out with power.

I was expecting something a little more different from 50 Cent, thought he would step out the box with his lyrics. It just seems a little safe on his part. Hopefully, we will see a little more diversity on the album.

Music Rumors: 50 Cent's label hates his album

Turns out 50 just ain't as hot as he thought he was. Rumor has it 50's label, Interscope Records, are not feeling 50 Cent's album and because of this they want him to head back in the studio to record some more material; which means, it might take a little longer for the album to come out. According to sources, his album seems to be missing a certain je ne sais quois. Hmmm... I wonder why?

Could it be his relentless attacks on Rick Ross (whose album actually saw the light of day and did pretty well according to reviews) that could be distracting him? And not to add salt to the wound, but Deeper Than Rap is said to be topping the Billboard 200 charts (the numbers come in tomorrow so stay tuned).

Then again, there are the record labels that sometimes want their artists to dumb down their masterpieces just for marketing purposes.

Either way, it's time to get to work 50....

Rick Ross' ex prepares to release tell-all book

But of course we knew this was going to happen. According to Thisis50.com, Rick Ross' daughter's mother-not to be confused with his other child's mother that was recently put on blast by 50 Cent via her sex tape-will release a tell-all book titled Tia's Diary.

The book is said to have a release date of May 19th and is said to house a whole lot of juicy details about the "Boss". The release date is not confirmed so it is subject to change. 50 Cent is reportedly not going to publish the project but will have a stake in it's share...but of course.

~Sigh~ I really have nothing else to say on this, tis' a shame. Check out the cover of the book....

Lil Wayne calls 50 Cent out

And of course yet another beef is upon us, this time between Grammy winner Lil Wayne and...oh look..it's 50 again!

Lil Wayne has called 50 Cent out before, but in a more subliminal way on his song Louisianimal by rapping,

"I'm about a dollar, f*ck two quarters."
If that line kind of sounds familiar, that is because Jay-Z spit a very similar line at Hot 97's Summer Jam some years ago when 50 first came out by rapping,

"I'm about a dollar, who the f*ck is 50 Cent"
When Lil Wayne was asked if he had a problem with 50 by MTV, Lil Wayne without hesitation denied it.

Well, in this song he sure attempts to go in at 50 and it goes a little something like this...

Hmmm...OK. I'm sure 50 has been awaiting your arrival Wayne and honestly I guess it would be a little entertaining to watch the two of you got at it since Ross has gotten the brute of the beef beat down and it's gone sour...so touche!

Too bad we can't depend on them to get at each other lyrically ~shrugs shoulders~

50 Cent to replace Forest Whitaker in new movie

Gotta admit, I was very surprised to hear this news. According to MTV, 50 Cent will be replacing Oscar winner Forest Whitaker in the film The Expendables. The part "Hale Ceaser" was supposed to be played by Forest but because prolonged shooting and prior obligations made by Forest, the director Slyvester Stallone had to seek another actor.

The action flick will star Sylvester himself, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, and Jet Li.

50 has acted in one movie, Get Rich Or Die Trying and that was a movie loosely based on his life. He also has a movie coming out called Dead Man Running. Personally, 50 hasn't proven that he is an all around thespian.

Granted, he can make a funny video of him donning a wig but to replace an actor like Forest, (who I have to say is a damn good actor...did you see him in The Last King Of Scotland? Dare I say more?) means that 50 has got to be on his G.R.I.N.D. majorly!

This is an action flick I must reiterate starring Jet Li..hello! I of course will give 50 his props and respect and will only hope that he shocks us with amazing acting.

50 Cent will release 2 albums this year

Seriously! I am absolutely loving the supposed multi-albums artists are saying they will release this year. Already on the list for multi-albums we got the purple Prince dropping 3 albums this year, Harlem's fashionisto Cam'ron with 3 albums and 2 movies, and the controversially comical Eminem with 2.

Just so he doesn't feel left out, 50 Cent has now thrown his hat in the ring and has decided to drop two albums himself this year.

We'll see if these artists are all talk and no play or if their words are legit. We've been waiting for Before I Self Destruct to drop since December so 2 albums wouldn't be too bad. Personally, I love it when artists work for the recognition and for my hard earned dollar. Let the battles begin...

Dead Man Running (Starring 50 Cent) Movie Trailer

ummm ok. I somehow think that this will go to DVD in a matter of 4 months after it's release.

Either way, kudos to 50 for racking in Hollywood money!

T.I. brushes off 50 Cent

50 Cent, the new bully of Hip Hop, has taken many shots at T.I. including his recent cartoon released last weekend along with his song "You So Tough" off of G-Units Terminate On Sight; but T.I. is paying no mind to 50 Cent's in your face ways.

Here's what T.I. told XXL about why he ignores 50,

"I haven’t seen it but, we all know dude. We all know his intentions, we all know his motives. We’ve seen this too many times before. You know, I play chess, not checkers, you dig? I ain’t even trippin’ off of that. At the end of the day, I’m more worried or concerned about what a man says to me or what a man does to me, not what he says or does in the eyes of the public."

I can respect T.I. on his decision to not bother with 50's attempt to slaughter everyone in the industry. Plus, 50's jabs are the least of his worries because he has bigger fish to fry; that and the fact that he is "the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished with the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid." a.k.a. not the one.

T.I. is scheduled to serve his time in jail for a year next month as a part of his felony weapon charges sentencing.

50 Cent's new plan...work for Def Jam?!

One thing you have to give this man is that he is quite the determined character. If you haven't heard, DJ Khaled is now the President at Def Jam South and 50 wants to knock him out of that seat.

In a snippet of 50's interview with Angie Martinez, he says that he wouldn't mind working at Def Jam so that he could get rid of a few people over there that he doesn't like. It's like the school yard all over again...don't let him take your cornbread and chocolate milk Ross!

Side Order: 50's contract with Shady Records is up after this album so he might just be planning His attack efficiently; all I got to say is money has the tendency to talk and 50 got plenty.

50 says Chris & Rihanna spoof cartoon is not funny anymore

Well, well, well 50 has a heart. In an interview with MTV, 50 says that his latest episode of Officer Ricky that was released last week and that features Chris Brown and Rihanna in a spoof of their very publicized altercation, was wrong in being made fun of by him.

Here's what he had to say on the matter,

"After I saw the photograph, that wasn't funny anymore," 50 said. "I didn't have any information on it. You're just going on what the public actually had. It shifts the whole thing. Even if you're saying you're in a dysfunctional relationship, I understand that. There's a point when you're already past a woman fighting you back. You look at [the picture], and it's obviously past that point. There's some issues there that definitely gotta be addressed. Not to take any shots at Chris or Rihanna or take sides in any way, [but] it's really not cool. It's not funny anymore, so there will definitely be no more reference to that from me in any way."

I can respect when people fess up to being wrong. It show's a balance in character and lack of ego; but ummm fif, in the spirit of being caring and all, how about Suge who got his face beat in an suffered multiple fractured bones in his face that you also included in the skit, will he be spared as well? Since you're doing right by folks I think maybe you should go all the way humble.

On a serious note, I'm happy he saw the error in his ways. Let's see how long this lasts for.

On the charts...
