Keri Hilson takes it off for Allure Magazine's Naked Truth series.

We all know how Keri likes to get in touch with her feminine side even if that feminine side sees her thrusting her hips or licking doors. (BTW, we have Lauriann Gibson to blame for that “The Way You Love Me” video, I’ve learned)

Hilson went bare for Allure for their recent Naked Truth series and talked about dealing with the pressures and demands of being a woman in the public eye.

Before all her hit songs, Hilson worked behind the scenes as a successful songwriter. Stepping out of the background was not as effortless as Hilson, 28, now makes it look. "The transition to being in front of the camera was very, very difficult," she says. "Everyone has their idea of what you should look like.' You need to get into the gym.' 'You need to wear less clothes.' 'Wear dresses and skirts.' 'Put a weave in.' 'Cut your hair.' 'Color your hair.' There are so many ways that others tug at you." To Hilson, posing naked stripped her back down to her real self. "We do a lot of things to seek validation: I have to get more expensive handbags or fake lashes or fake boobs. This shoot was about dropping all that."

Well, the demand for wearing less clothes can be checked off the list.

When Chelsea inquired about if Keri would ever go out with a rapper, Hilson said that she wouldn't because rapper's are just not her type of men.

The creative video sees Keri paying homage to women of color in entertainment. Everyone from my idol Josephine Baker and Diana Ross to Janet Jackson and TLC get a little respect in the video, all portrayed by Keri.

I'm not so crazy about the song but I do think it's cute. Still waiting to be blown away by Keri, I thought her first album was a great effort.

Here is the new video from Keri Hilson for her song "Breaking Point." This song is scheduled to appear on her upcoming album No Boys Allowed.

The video definitley adds more appeal to the song. You can never go wrong catering to the female demographic because we are always in search of songs that can describe how we feel simply by pressing play.

"Breaking Point" is slowly growing on me although I feel Keri could have done better, she's proven that.

Hopefully the single starts creeping up the charts with the release of this video. If not, another single with more umph wouldn't hurt.

Here is new music from Keri Hilson titled "Breaking Point." This single is scheduled to appear on Keri's sophomore effort No Boys Allowed coming soon.

The single combines a bit of 70's elements with the dialogue over the track and the doo-wop like harmonizing background singers. "Breaking Point" will likely serve as a female empowerment track as it plays on dealing with letting go of relationships that no longer serve a purpose.

I had to listen to the song twice to get a feel for it. The Timbaland produced track and Keri's voice seemed to be mismatched; her voice is high and pretty and needs little vocal acrobats. She's giving too much on a track that conveys a mid-tempo and relaxed sound. For the most part, "Breaking Point" sounds like a promising buzz single, maybe first single.

Here is the new video from Trey Songz for his song "Yo Side of The Bed." This single appears on Trey's album Ready in stores now.

The video is very cinematic and sets up a great storyline that makes the song more interesting. I loved how Trey's camp released a teaser for the video last week. It increased anticipation and the video wasn't a disappointment.

Trey enlists the help of Keri Hilson to tell the story of an army wife that has to leave her husband - Trey - and her baby girl at home to go and fight for her country. I won't reveal the ending because I feel it is the meat of the story.

Trey even sheds a few tears....

The video is very glamorous and fancy. There isn't much to say about the song as to me it is a safe bet. Keri and Trina look great while Diddy looks..well...like Diddy.

I love an acoustic performance for its realness and room for minimal flaws.

I never really thought about this song being performed acoustically. Keri did a nice job, I love the elegance of her voice. One song I would love to hear her perform acoustic would be "Slow Dance."

Keri Hilson Is Working On A Mixtape

Keri Hilson announced via her Twitter account that she is currently working on a new mixtape. She expressed her excitement about the project, promising that she will deliver when it comes to shelling out some hits.

Recording a mixtape is a great way for Keri to keep her name sparkling while she is hopefully working on new LP.

I'm going to need Keri and Ne-Yo to get it together and give me an album soon, thanks .

This song is hot and the video is just as hot. Keri has turned her Scorpio's femme fatale up a few notches and is oozing sex in this video; that bra and panty set is on my radar, how fierce?

You will notice appearances from Chris Brown, Omarion, and Monica to name a few.

I love Keri's voice because it is soft and simply pretty which is a relief from the screaming and microphone hollering, less is definitely better as shown by Aaliyah.

As you know, Keyshia Cole is currently on tour and she decided to bring along folks like The Dream and the lovely Keri Hilson. The crew performed here in NYC at the WAMU theater at MSG on Sunday (May 24) and Ms. Keri over here decided to give the crowd their money's worth. Here are the pics....
Don't get me wrong, I love me some Keri Hilson, I think that her music is great and she is a sight for sore eyes but this nonsense is just a little too much. When she started out with being this female that is sexual but still carried herself like a lady, I thought it was cute. She would brag about grabbing Lil Wayne's crotch and getting slapped on the booty by the likes of Kanye West and it would be seen as humorous; but at what point is it considered a little much?..... Have we reached that point yet? I guess if Janet Jackson and Ciara can get a little dominatrix like and dry hump on stage, so can Keri.... right? Whatever the case may be, from the looks of things, seeing Keri in concert may be the best thing for the freak in you.

Keri is the cover girl for J'Adore Magazine's Sex & Rock N' Roll May 2009 issue and looks fierce. I don't give a french what anyone says, the chick is bad and although she goes back on her musical rants I can respect her swag; it's the rubbing on Lil Wayne's crotch ish I can't get with, what is the deal Keri...really?! This issue hits stands April 21st.

Word around the web is that there is a psychotic ex-fan that is pissy at the fact that Keri gave him attitude during a Detroit promo appearance. Well, Keri took to her Twitter to set the record straight by saying....

"TO ALL MY FANS!! no I didn’t see the vid yet, but I wanna address…I was not just regular “sick” in Detroit last day of tour. laryngitis. I could NOT TALK AT ALL! u can ask anyone who heard me trying…so me saying “next” didn’t happen at all. when I did the signing I had my team read a note for me explaining that I was extremely sorry I couldn’t talk to my fans. I did not want 2 cancel and still had a show a few hrs later in Detroit. Read past twitters & you’ll see that I’ve bn sick with flu-like symptoms with sinus infection. I’m just now getting over it becuz I work so hard I can’t get proper rest & life must go on. I know what I signed up 4 & I thought that my fans understood what I was going thru after they read my msg…I know ppl stood in line. but 4 this signing I was told not to personalize since there were so many ppl & we drove an hr away from the venue to do the signing…and ran late because we got into detroit later than expected. I think he’s mistaken. I would never say “next” to anyone…he may have been upset or maybe no one told him I couldn’t personalize the cd’s. She then went on to let her fans know that she would never disrespect her fans and that he was just trippin' (M.Y. summation of course).

He has a little too much time on his hands to press record on a web cam to tape his rants on artists and to upload it on You Tube and look as ridiculous as he did....for free. To me that is sad enough but he did make me giggle a bit.

Keri Hilson sells 94,000 copies

People thought Keri Hilson would do rather poorly in sales but turns out the girl did fairly well. According to Nielsen Soundscan, in her first week Keri Hilson's In A Perfect World has sold 94,000 copies debuting at number 4.

Though these numbers are not an indication that her first studio album is flying off the shelves, it still shows that she has built up quite a following. Can she go Gold before the end of the month? We'll see.

Right behind Ms. Keri, Jim Jones moves 42,820 units of his album Pray IV Reign landing in the top 10 at number 9. With the confidence that Jim displayed you would think his album would have grown wings and flown into the hands of his fans. Judging by his sales, it just goes to show that a humble mouth is a better one. Seeing that Cam'ron is not interested in dealing with Jim, he will have to step his game up to get the approval of the once Dipset fans.

Keri says Lil Wayne got swag to slap her @$$

Totally underestimated Lil Wayne's so called "swag". Here I was thinking that Lil Wayne reminded me of a martian from planet Mars and couldn't pull a female if he promised to wash her car with a 14 karat gold sponge and look....proven wrong yet again.
