Popcorn Moments: Do You Remember When Tupac Was On 'In Living Color'?

When sketch comedy show In Living Color was the talk of the town, I made sure to watch every single episode, religiously. But for the life of me, I can't recall seeing Tupac in any of the episodes; there's a chance that I might be the only one.

Tupac appeared in one of the skits playing himself, and acted alongside a young Jamie Foxx and Tommy Davidson.

The skit is hilarious and shows just how much personality Tupac had.

Monday, September 13, marked the 14th anniversary of Tupac's passing.

Popcorn Moments: Cam'ron and 50 Cent Have It Out On Live Radio

Beefs can be so messy at times. But they can also be entertaining especially if the right egos are added to the equation. One of those entertaining beefs took place in February of 2007 between rappers Cam'ron and 50 Cent.

Cam'ron happened to be 50 Cent's latest beef in 50's slaughterhouse of beefs that trail from his 2003 debut, and thought it would be wise to call up the Angie Martinez show while 50 was live on the air.

Angie of course nervous about the impending conversation repeatedly tried to inquire on the status of their relationship. As if 50 would say no we don't get along, 50 gives his nod of approval and here enters Cam.

The two go back and forth about numbers, album sales, and monetary incomes. To say the least this is one business meeting I wish would be held privately with me as a fly on the wall *pops popcorn*...

Popcorn Moments: Beyonce and Jay-Z At MSG (Fade to Black)

In November of 2004, a film chronicling Jay-Z's performance at Madison Square Garden in what was dubbed as a farewell concert aired in theaters. The rapper was reportedly retiring from Hip-Hop and wanted to go out in style.

The concert boasted appearances from Foxy Brown, Mary J. Blige, Ghostface Killah,Diddy and of course his girlfriend at the time Beyonce.

What I loved most about this moment is at the beginning when Beyonce gives Jay-Z that look and he shoots it right back at her right before bursting into her performance of "Crazy In Love."

I love their performance chemistry...

Staying true to her style, Beyonce makes sure to cover every inch of that Garden stage and the performance was very entertaining. A popcorn moment indeed.

Popcorn Moments: Michael Jackson & Lisa Marie Presley's Infamous MTV Kiss

On September 8th, 1994, Michael Jackson and his then wife Lisa Marie Presley (daughter of Elvis Presley) came out on stage at the MTV VMA's hand-in-hand for no reason at all.

At the time, Michael Jackson had been slammed with sexual molestation charges stemming from an alleged situation with a little boy, so my guess is that they did this to set the record straight about what he really likes.

Popcorn Moments: Britney Spears, Madonna, & Christina Aguilera's 2003 MTV VMA Performance

Who could forget the infamous MTV Awards kiss?

In 2003 Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera took to the stage to pay tribute to Madonna. The two biggest pop sensations at the time wore a wedding dress that resembled the wedding dress worn by Madonna when she performed her song "Like A Virgin" at the very first MTV Video Music Awards in 1984.

Madonna would later join Britney and Christina on stage to perform her song "Hollywood" and would later seal the performance with a kiss. No one really remembers what happened after the kiss, some people didn't even acknowledge Christina getting sloppy seconds and we completely forgot that Missy Elliot had a part in it all, but the performance was a certified popcorn moment.

And please pause the video at 3:09 to get Justin Timberlake's side-eye. Notice after the kiss him mean mugging..too priceless.

Was he disappointed in his ex or was he just a little sour about not being asked to join?

Popcorn Moments: Kim Burrell & Jennifer Hudson's BET Honors Tribute To Whitney Houston

The BET Honors aired last night on BET. During my bout with drifting in and out of sleep I caught a few performances including Mary J Blige's tribute to Diddy and Patty Labelle and Jazmine Sullivans salute to Queen Latifah.

One of the tributes that was so worth watching was the tribute to Whitney Houston which saw Jennifer Hudson and Gospel singer Kim Burrell singing Whitney's hit singles "I Will Always Love You" and "I Believe In You and Me" respectively.

Whitney was too excited for words, so just watch.

Jennifer Hudson's voice is so powerful! Gives me chills.

Popcorn Moments: Whitney Houston Sings 'The Star Spangled Banner' At Super Bowl XXV

Whitney Houston did that!

Every time I see this video or anyone makes reference to her performance, I get goosebumps on my arms and legs. Her voice was impeccable from start to finish and it doesn't even look like she was even trying.

During the time of this performance which was in 1991, America was dealing with a war that was sucking the life out of the families of the troops that were serving. So imagine what Whitney's vocals did for the situation; justice, her voice did it justice.

She did such a great job, her version of the star spangled banner was released as a commercial single reaching number 20 on the Hot 100 charts.

Interesting I know.

Popcorn Moments: Kanye West Performs 'Stonger' At The 2008 Grammy's

The Grammy's are upon us and with the musical event many of us music bloggers like to take a stroll down memory lane; well, at least I do *shrugs*.

One of the best performances that I can remember is Kanye West's performance at the 50th annual Grammy Awards where he performed his song "Stronger" along with "Mama."

Though the live rendition of "Mama" was very touching, "Stronger" stood out the most for its presentation and ability to wow the crowd.

It was a very emotional performance with high intensity given the fact that Kanye had just lost his mother a few months before.

Popcorn Moments: Drake's Humble Beginnings

Drake has never really come off as the quintessential Hip-Hop artists. For me he made that very clear when he admitted to not freestyling but opting to write then recites his lyrics.

When Drake was just Aubrey, an actor that starred in the teen show Degrassi, he lived at home with his mother, drove and Acura, and snuck chocolate to his granny.

So cute.

He even introduced viewers to his Hip-Hop collection and a collage he assembled under a glass table of artists that he would eventually work with.

It's crazy how things happen.

Popcorn Moments: Cam'ron on CBS

I'm torn in feelings when watching this video. A part of me wants to shake my head and roll my eyes at the genuine thoughts Cam'ron chose to reveal in this interview, but then my experience completely understands where he is coming from.

At any rate, this was one of the most entertaining interviews I’m sure CBS has ever gotten.

Anderson Cooper looked like he was sopping up every last moment of this interview. There is nothing that a journalist loves more than when the person they interview does the job of painting themselves in a bad light to the people who are not familiar with what they are talking about.

Popcorn Moments: Kanye West puts George Bush On Blast

The type of effect Hurricane Katrina had on the residents of New Orleans as well as citizens of America can still be felt till this day. During the relief efforts to help raise funds to reconstruct the sinking city, there were all sorts of charitable events occurring. If you can remember there were close to no shows playing on national television just a bunch of telethon like specials.

One of those events was NBC's "A Concert for Hurricane Relief."

During the event, Kanye West and Mike Myers were featured speakers and were given scripts to stick to. Mike stuck to the script while Kanye choose to speak his mind.

His infamous blurt "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was born and so was a moment that left everyone speechless in front of their television sets.

Mike's facial expression was priceless when Kanye bypassed his given script the first time, but when Kanye did it again and went totally left, Mike looked like he wanted to disappear into thin air.

There is never a dull moment when Kanye is in the building.

Popcorn Moments: Destiny's Child 'Cater 2 U' BET Performance

When Destiny's Child performed their single "Cater 2 U" at the 2005 BET Awards, they left almost everyone blushing (and a few men mad that they weren't chosen).

Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle chose Terrance Howard, Nelly and Magic Johnson as the lucky men to receive complimentary 5 star lap dances.

Surely, someone walked away extremely happy and that someone had to be Terrance who looked like he was primed and ready to have Beyonce's baby.

Though there were a couple of flaws in the performance (ahem, Michelle), it was one of the best performances of the night
