You Won't See Adele's Boobs or 'Bum' Anytime Soon, She Says

Ever since I got my ears on Adele's new LP 21, I can't seem to shut up about her. It's just that I was so taken by her voice and her lyrics on her album that I feel humbly obligated to spread the word about the Brit to those who are still unfamiliar with her.
Anyway, Adele is Rolling Stone's cover girl for their latest issue set to hit newsstands this Friday (April 15) and inside the mag, the "Rolling In The Deep" singer opens up about how 21 was inspired by her break-up with her boyfriend, her stage fright, and her fluctuating weight.

The most interesting part of the interview is when Adele speaks on shedding her clothes for fame. According to the singer, you will not be seeing her boobs or her "bum" anytime soon because she makes music for your ears not your eyes.

[NEWS] 50 Cent, Soulja Boy Affectionately Cover XXL

50 Cent and Soulja Boy are the cover boys for XXL's November issue.

This issue will feature two separate profiles on the odd pair as well as a "Q&A roundtable discussion between the two."

As you know, Soulja Boy is gearing up to release his next album The DeAndre Way while 50...well, he's around still making money doing whatever it is that he does.

50 said in one of the quotes from the interview that if he could be another artist, just for right now, that he would be Soulja Boy.

Soulja offered up his own bromantic quote, saying that "if there wasn’t no 50 Cent, there would be no Soulja Boy."

This issue of XXL will hit newsstands November 2.

Kanye West Covers XXL: 'In A Way, I Had Thrown A Molotov Cocktail At My Own Career'

"The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend" - Kanye West

Kanye West is XXL's cover boy for their October issue. I love the dual natures to match his Gemini quality...maybe I'm looking too deep?

Being the Kanye we know, he took total control over the issue, penning the cover story himself in his very first article.

Kanye also served as the creative director on his own 40-page section set to appear in the special collector’s issue.

NEWS// Nicki Minaj Covers Vibe + Throwback Video

Nicki Minaj is the cover girl of Vibe's latest issue. This has to be the most animated mag cover I've seen from Vibe. Looks like the pulled out all of the stops. In this issue, Nicki speaks about shaping her style and how she needs to mellow her act down among other things.

"When I grew up I saw females doing certain things, and I thought I had to do that exactly,” she says. “The female rappers of my day spoke about sex a lot . . . and I thought that to have the success they got, I would have to represent the same thing. When in fact I didn’t have to represent the same thing."

"I’m not abandoning the funny voices. I just did a crazy tribute to ODB’s ‘Shimmy Shimmy Ya,’” she says, perfectly impersonating the late Wu-Clansman. “But it’s coming up more with the album. I had a teacher in elementary who would stand on her table and whisper. We’d all turn around like, ‘What is this lunatic doing?’ But she would achieve what she wanted. She wanted us to stop talking and listen. I feel like I need to mellow it down so people can hear what I have to say."

This issue of Vibe hits newsstands June 15.

Speaking of Nicki, check out a video from her earlier days....

NEWS // Diddy Says He's 'The Champion Of Hip-Hop'

Diddy is the cover boy for XXL Magazine's June 2010 cover. This marks the very first time Diddy will appear on the cover of XXL.This in itself is very interesting considering that XXL has been gracing newsstands since 1997.

Anyhow, it isn't Diddy's appearance on the cover that is worth posting on, though he is quite the sight to see. It is what he says that may raise a few eyebrows.

When discussing his worth to Hip-Hop, Diddy says:

Beyonce on Billboard Women in Music cover

Here is the cover of Billboard's issue of Women in Music with Beyonce as their cover girl. If you didn't know, Beyonce recently was awarded Woman of the Year by Billboard last week October 2.

Say what you want, Beyonce works damn hard for her acknowledgements. She clearly has a go getter on her team that will do anything for his client/daughter like any other father would do. If only he could keep his bat in its cave and avoid future paternity suits, tis is a shame.

Rihanna covers Italian Vogue

Rihanna is the cover girl for Vogue Italia's September issue. I guess this was the alternative since they refused to have her on the Vogue in the U.S. Either way it works out for Rihanna; there is nothing better than having international appeal anyway.

It is very scary chic, I guess. I happen to love artistic expression in all facets of life but something about Rihanna just screams witch, sorry. Can't wait for the album!

Maxwell covers Giant

Maxwell is the cover boy for Giant's latest issue and he looks debonair. I am loving the new movement of grown and..well...grown.

It really is refreshing to see veteran artists allowing their music to grow along with them instead of holding on to a distant memory.

Thank you Maxwell for refraining from humping a stage floor with your shirt unbuttoned and your tie around you head. Thank you for pouring your drink in a glass and not drinking it straight from the bottle. Grown is indeed sexy.

Jay-Z covers Billboard Magazine

Jay-Z is the cover boy for Billboard magazine's latest issue. Jay is gearing up to release his album Blueprint 3 on September 11th.

Reportedly, 50 Cent was also set to release his album Before I Self Destruct (that has been pushed back so many times I think the album is an urban myth) but told MTV that the album will not go head-to-head with Jay's; instead it will make it's debut on the last Tuesday of September, oh well.

Christina Milian and The Dream cover Vibe

Rap Radar got their hands on the brand new and last cover of Vibe Magazine's latest issue. At first glance my stomach bubbled a bit, I would prefer to see The Dream with his shirt on, thanks.

I'm not too pleased with the last cover but hey, I'm sure they didn't think it would be their last cover either which by the way will not be published

Vibe has been around since 1993 and were just about to celebrate their sweet 16th anniversary when their plug was pulled. Reports say that Quincy Jones, the person that launched the magazine, is looking to buy it back and have it available online only. If this is true, that would be the wisest thing to do given the inevitable downfall of print.

Vibe Magazine shuts it's doors (1993-2009)

It has just been reported that Vibe Magazine, the magazine and media group launched by Quincy Jones, is officially no more. In a statement released by the Editor-In-Chief, Danyel Smith announced the sad news earlier today. What adds a little salt to the wound is the fact that the announcement comes on the eve of the magazines sixteenth anniversary.

Vibe magazine has been an enormous pillar in the Hip-Hop and R&B community providing highlights on new artists and artists interviews. I personally was a loyal reader of the magazine so this comes as a little bit of a shock, though I did kind of saw it coming.

Quincy Jones was great friends with Michael Jackson, and from what I hear took his passing a little hard. Maybe he just took it as a sign to move on. Either way, the magazine will be missed.

Ciara covers Rap-Up Magazine

Ciara is Rap-Up Magazine's cover girl for their newest issue and looks great! I can't quite put my finger on it, but I am sure I've seen this photo somewhere else before. Maybe it was in affiliation with this shoot.

She even looks like she filled out a little. A lot of people were saying that she lost a little too much weight, I think they will be pleased.

Queen Latifah does Essence Magazine

Queen Latifah is the cover girl for Essence Magazine's July 2009 issue and looks stunning. In this issue, the Queen talks about turning 40 this year, becoming a mom, her new album and movie, and just living life.

I haven't bought Essence mag in a while but I might just want to read this one. Queen Latifah has transitioned from a girl, to a woman, then into a grown ass woman with class and grace, gotta love it.

Maxwell covers Uptown

Maxwell is Uptown magazine's cover boy for their newest issue. I still can not get past the hair he cut off. I hear he did it because he felt he was getting a little too much notoriety and wanted to go into hiding because the fame was getting out of hand for his taste. At least he still has those seductive eyes.

I also have another treat on this very slow news day, here is the cover of his new album. It will be due in stores July 7th.

Ciara covers Jet

Ciara is the cover girl for Jet's newest issue that hits stands May 25th. I am not sure about what is going on with the hair *I thought we were over two-toned hair styles* but her body looks great.

In this issue, she discusses growing up and letting go of things that are just not that important.

"A lot of things that I used to probably sweat about when I was younger, I won’t sweat anymore,” she said. “The ultimate goal for me is to share the many different sides of me that I haven’t shared."
Good for her. If you missed it Ciara came in at number 3 on the Billboard 200 charts selling 80,990 units of her latest album Fantasy Ride.

Jennifer Hudson covers Essence

Jennifer Hudson is the cover girl for Essence Magazine's June 2009 issue. There were reports late last month that confirmed that Jennifer and her fiance David Otunda were expecting a baby. If this is true congrats to her, I think I can see a glow.

Keri Hilson covers J'Adore + addresses psycho fan

Keri is the cover girl for J'Adore Magazine's Sex & Rock N' Roll May 2009 issue and looks fierce. I don't give a french what anyone says, the chick is bad and although she goes back on her musical rants I can respect her swag; it's the rubbing on Lil Wayne's crotch ish I can't get with, what is the deal Keri...really?! This issue hits stands April 21st.

Word around the web is that there is a psychotic ex-fan that is pissy at the fact that Keri gave him attitude during a Detroit promo appearance. Well, Keri took to her Twitter to set the record straight by saying....

"TO ALL MY FANS!! no I didn’t see the vid yet, but I wanna address…I was not just regular “sick” in Detroit last day of tour. laryngitis. I could NOT TALK AT ALL! u can ask anyone who heard me trying…so me saying “next” didn’t happen at all. when I did the signing I had my team read a note for me explaining that I was extremely sorry I couldn’t talk to my fans. I did not want 2 cancel and still had a show a few hrs later in Detroit. Read past twitters & you’ll see that I’ve bn sick with flu-like symptoms with sinus infection. I’m just now getting over it becuz I work so hard I can’t get proper rest & life must go on. I know what I signed up 4 & I thought that my fans understood what I was going thru after they read my msg…I know ppl stood in line. but 4 this signing I was told not to personalize since there were so many ppl & we drove an hr away from the venue to do the signing…and ran late because we got into detroit later than expected. I think he’s mistaken. I would never say “next” to anyone…he may have been upset or maybe no one told him I couldn’t personalize the cd’s. I wanted to get 2 everyone who came, whether they bought the cd or not, so we had 2 do everything as quick as possible. I apologize homeboy for the way u may have misinterpreted the situation. I assure u I wasn’t being a bitch @ all. I appreciate any1 who goes out of their way 2 come see me! I love my fans! just wanted to clear that up…I didn’t hv an attitude I was happy 2 be there but worried about the show that I chose to not cancel or cut in half becuz I was extremely hoarse & sore. I was on stage coughing & the whole 9 on like every sentence LOL. but I got thru it & was happy detroit had my back. thanks D-town! yall didn’t laugh when they had 2 keep bringn me water! good nite my twit fam! love yall
Trust I was SO happy to be signing your albums! I did each w/a smile on my face! Keep my sharpie in my purse! I’ll sign yours too!!!!!!!!!!!"

She then went on to let her fans know that she would never disrespect her fans and that he was just trippin' (M.Y. summation of course).

He has a little too much time on his hands to press record on a web cam to tape his rants on artists and to upload it on You Tube and look as ridiculous as he did....for free. To me that is sad enough but he did make me giggle a bit.

Keri's debut album In A Perfect World is in stores now.
