Why Jamie Foxx Has His Daughter To Thank For His Blossoming Music Career
I for one, at first, took his appearance on Kanye West's single "Slow Jamz" not too seriously but eventually I warmed up to the idea of seeing Jamie with a mic in his hand and not only to hear jokes come out of his mouth.
In a recent interview, Jamie revealed that it was his daughter, Corinne, that helped his music career.
At first, Jamie planned to go down the usual R&B route, filling his album with slow lovey dovey jams.
But after Corinne insisted that he team up with younger artists to add a little pizazz to his music, that was the secret ingredient Jamie needed to secure not only two platinum albums under his belt, but also a Grammy.

Video Premiere: Jamie Foxx ft. Drake, Kanye West, and The Dream- Digital Girl
Here is the new video from Jamie Foxx featuring Drake, The Dream, and Kanye West.
As much as I try not to care for the song, the beat is too hard to ignore I think I may even love it. Plus, Kanye killed his verse and Drake held it down. I just wish Jamie would jump off of the plug-in, he definitely does not need it.
Video Rating: A yummy B.

The 2009 BET Awards: The recap
The BET Awards was nothing short of interesting last night. The ceremony that took place last night in Los Angeles was hosted by Jamie Foxx who had so many roles in the show I forgot what he was actually there for. He most definitely represented last night and did a great job.
Keri Hilson had a pretty good performance until the end of her set when she was trying to imitate Michael Jackson. During her performance she did a whole lot of things from tricks with her microphone to jumping over a crowd of fans; that is probably why she was out of breath.
Beyonce did a really great job at performing an opera-esque set. Though it nearly put me to sleep, it really showed how great of a range she has with her voice.
As for Neyo, I couldn't get my eyes off of his baldy.
Janet Jackson attended with her dad Joe Jackson and had this to say about the passing of Mike.

Music Menu-Jamie Foxx ft. Drake & Kanye West-Digital Girl
Here is new music from Jamie Foxx featuring Drake and Kanye West, "Digital Girl" the remix. The Neptunes have really inspired a brand new sound in Hip-Hop/R&B, everything seems so futuristic these days including this song.
Auto-Tunes played a part in this song and Jamie carried it well. I think there are some people that can actually work with the plug-in and those are people who can actually sing. If you can't sing, auto-tune is going to help you out but for so long; eventually you would need the talent.
"I remember her name was Amy she use to AIM me". Drake is really making a name for himself, I'm impressed.
Speaking of Jamie, I got a hold of the video that captured that hot and steamy moment he and Halle shared...
Whew! A lot of men out there are real envious right now.

TV Appearances: Jamie Foxx on Jay Leno
Jamie Foxx recently appeared on Jay Leno's show to talk about all things Jamie and of course the whole Miley Cyrus thing came up in conversation. In case you missed it, Jamie was being Jamie on his satellite radio show, Foxxhole, and said a few things that were deemed offensive by some people.
Now, the "some people" were not his listeners but readers on blogs and infamous gossip sites like TMZ, we all know how they like to skew certain scenarios; lets not forget, they were the one's that shelled out the big bucks to get first dibs on the Rihanna bruised and batter photos to post on their site, but I digress.
It was very big of Jamie to apologize but I don't think he really needed to. What did they expect? He is a comedian at heart and this is not the first time he's criticized people's work and their characters and I doubt it will be his last. When did it become a problem to voice your opinion? Being that she is still a child I guess somethings are off limits. But why aren't we talking about the fact that the girl is 16 and dating a 20 year old? I guess that doesn't deserve public scrutiny huh? Whatev.

M.Y. Fact: Jamie Foxx's "Blame It" belonged to....
Yung Joc. I was listening to The Ed Lover Morning Show this morning and Jamie Foxx was on the show, Jamie is hilarious by the way I adore him. Anyhow, while he was on the show he mentioned a little fact that made me go hmmmm.
Apparently, "Blame It" Jamie's hot club banger, was supposed to be Yung Joc's song, but some how some way the demo ended up on Jamie's lap. Now, Jamie assures that he did not steal it (I believe him) but more so that it was fate (M.Y. summation of course).
"Blame It" wasn't even supposed to be on the album. Jamie had a completely different vibe for the album in mind, but after consultations with some major producers (i.e. Timbaland) Jamie decided to live on the edge and think out the box, hence the emergence of "Blame It" that went on to be a staple on the club scene.

Video: Jamie Foxx ft. T-Pain-Blame It
This is what I call a video! Jamie went and got the whole of Hollywood to appear in the video. I'm talking about Samuel L. Jackson, Forrest Whitaker, Tatyana Ali, my ex-crush Morris Chestnut, Quincy Jones, and more! "Blame it" is off of his album Intuition in stores now and is number 2 on Billboard's Top R&b/Hip Hop Albums chart.
This video is hot. I'm loving the red tint throughout the whole video. It was of course directed by Hype Williams the innovator of music videos. The song has really grown on me though I could have done without the auto-tunes but hey.
I give this video a yummy A for a star studded flick/video. Got Forrest and Co. walking up in the club on gangster mode, I love it!
Side Order: A few things. Was it me or was Morris and Tatyana real cozy in the video? If you missed it, catch it at the 2:27 mark. I know a love connection when I see one.
It seems like I am the only one in the world that hasn't gotten a sip of Nuvo, it looks yummy!
And T-Pain needs to patent that little robotic dance he does I see he likes it a lot...a lot, alot.

Jamie Foxx ft. T.I. "Just Like Me"
Here is the new video from Jamie Foxx featuring T.I. for his new single Just Like Me. Its a funny video that also stars Taraji P. Henson the actress from Baby Boy(everytime I see her I can just hear in my head this one line..Do you know they do that sh*t everynight you dummy..I hate you Jodi!!" lol). The song is not that great and T.I. didn't really shine like he usually does.
The video was actually kind of boring. Jamie's singing was boring, the beat was boring, the lyrics were boring; yeah it was boring. It did showcase Jamie's sense of humor.
I give this video a yummy C- for an attempt to recapture his Jamie Foxx Show days
