Video Premiere: Kanye West ft. Young Jeezy-Amazin'

Here is the new video from Kanye West featuring Young Jeezy for Kanye's song "Amazin" off of his album 808's & Hearbreak in stores now.



This video is hot, as usual. Kanye brings alive the thing he does best and that's colors. The colors in the video are very vivid and rich. This video premiered on BET's 106th and Park yesterday.

I was loving his new humble character he was trying to bring forth on the show...for like 3 minutes. At least he has reason to be cocky.

Video Rating: A yummy A-.

Video: Young Jeezy-Circulate

Here is the new video from Young Jeezy for his song "Circulate" off of his album The Recession. This video was actually commisioned by Belvedere Vodka. This is a very smart move for Jeezy; might as well get paid to throw liquor bottles up in front of the camera.

The sampled track is smooth as silk and lil mama in the coral two piece bathing suit is putting in work. The video kind of confuses me, at first I thought it was another "My President Is Black" kind of video instead it looked like a video of White House workers gone wild.

I give this video a yummy B+ for being interesting from beginning till end.

Grammy Award red carpet pics!

As we know, the Grammy Awards went down last night and it was lack luster and not even close to great but I'll get to that in a min. Anyhow, here are a few pics from the red carpet!

The planter peanut guy a.k.a. T-Pain was there shockingly not dressed flashy. He must not have been feeling like himself. Question, are they still wearing grills?!

Young Jeezy ft. Nas "My President Is Black"

Here is the new video from Young Jeezy featuring Nas for Jeezy's single "My President Is Black". (Sniff) Now I'm not crazy about the song simply because I have a hard time understanding Jeezy but I must admit...somehow the video still moves me to tears. Okay...maybe not tears but it does cause my eyes to water just a tad.

I like Nas' flow and verse however I think he could have come harder. I do love the video; seeing everyone together all shapes, sizes, shades, and genders chanting "my president is black" is just so moving.

I can be a little sensitive, I know.

I do have a question, why does Jeezy still need to talk about his cars?!

I give this video a yummy B+ for hip hop starting a political movement, using your voice for good is always beneficial and important.

Side Order: Am I the only one that thinks Jeezy would do best as a hype man? I just love his ad libs and I'm crossing my fingers that he will consider doing voice overs for cartoons...

Hip Hop and Politics

According to Starpulse.com, LL Cool J, T.I. and Young Jeezy are being honored for their involvement in the 2008 presidential election. They raised public awareness for this election making it the highest turn out in American election history. They will be recognized at the highly anticipated Hip Hop Inaugural Ball that will be taking place next month in Washington D.C. Russell Simmons had this to say about the black tie ball,

We are celebrating the Inauguration of Barack Obama as President of the United States. Hip-Hop is all about transformation and it is a thrill to help make and witness history.

I was very proud to see hip hop artists getting involved in this presidential election and I believe that it also showed them that their voices mean more than records and platinum chains. Using their voices for good I think will open doors for other things that they can do to get things in order. Kudos to hip hop!

Young Jeezy "Who Dat"

Here is the new video from Young Jeezy for his single "Who Dat". It's very green screened. What I mean by that is that its so animated, its so much. Can we get a simple yet creative video? Am I the only one that wants simple creativity?! And um Jeezy, your album is called the Recession, lets atleast try to be a little modest with the jewels and the cars.

On a brighter note, someone has been working out! I was looking at the video thinking wow Jeezy is looking really in shape and less snowmanish; nice!
