[NEWS] Nicki Minaj Will Perform In First Televised Solo Performance at 2010 MTV VMA Pre-Show
Yes, she has performed on stage on TV before with other artists; this performance will be her first solo performance and won't be a collage of a bunch of features she has done.
Nicki is scheduled to perform her song "Your Love" live and fans have a chance to see her in the flesh.
All you have to do is follow her on Twitter @NickiMinaj and the MTV TJ Gabi @MTVTJ for more details about the contest.
The contest will begin Tuesday, September 7th and will end on Friday, September 10th.
Eminem, Drake, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Usher and B.o.B are some of the confirmed performances for the night.
The 2010 MTV VMAs are scheduled to air live from Los Angeles, California Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9 PM ET/PT.

[NEWS] Usher Will Perform At The 2010 MTV VMAs
We need some female performers in here! I wouldn't mind a little Katy Perry and even some Gaga...
I wasn't very impressed with Usher's performance at the 2010 BET Awards maybe because I was expecting him to break out into "OMG" instead of just performing one song which was "There Goes My Baby."
Hopefully we get a show-stopping performance this time around, I know Usher has it in him.
The 2010 MTV VMAs are scheduled to air live September 12, 2010 only on MTV.

[NEWS] Eminem Will Perform At 2010 MTV VMAs
There is a very good chance that Eminem may bring Rihanna out for "Love The Way You Lie", don't quote me on that because it hasn't been announced or confirmed, it's just my imagination and wish...
With Chelsea Handler hosting this year event, you know the show is going to be unforgettable.
SideBar: According to Chelsea, she wants to bring Kanye West and Taylor Swift together at the VMAs *pops popcorn*
This year's MTV VMAs are scheduled to broadcast live from Los Angeles, California Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9 PM ET.

[NEWS] Justin Bieber, B.o.B. To Perform At 2010 MTV VMAs
Also added to the performance roster is B.o.B! I have become a fan of B.o.B as of late after getting a chance to listen to his latest album and practically falling head over heels in love with EVERY track off of the LP. There was no word via the press release what songs B.o.B or Justin will perform.
Kanye West, Drake, and Ke$ha are just a few of the confirmed performances for the night. Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo and Selena Gomez are a few of the names mentioned as presenters.
The 2010 MTV VMAs are set to broadcast live from Los Angeles, California September 12, 2010 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.)
I am considering live blogging as I believe Kanye will do some random ish that requires at-that-moment reaction.

[NEWS] See The Full List Of MTV's 2010 Video Music Awards Nominees
B.o.B earned himself 5 nominations, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' video for "Empire State of Mind" got 3 as well, while Drake and Nicki Minaj received 1 each.
Interestingly enough, Rihanna's colorful video for her song "Rude Boy" only received one nomination and it is for Best Editing. Before I even looked at the list, I thought for sure there would be at least 3 nominations in her name not because 2010 was supposedly her comeback year following her incident but because I actually thought the video for "Rude Boy" would be awarded for its creativity *shrugs.*
I was also shocked to see that the Black Eyed Peas didn't get any nominations for their double videos for their song "Imma Be" and "Rock That Body."
Anyway, you can check out the full list of nominees when you...

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys perform "Empire State Of Mind"

This performance was the ish but I must say that the VMA's was pure circus at its finest, I'm sure we can all agree on that; did y'all see Lady Gaga with that white Christmas reef around her head? That girl is too damn much but I love her all the same.
This moment, however, completely stole the shine from Kanye's playground finger pointing according to me.
I nearly clutched my pearls and watched in absolute embarrassment for Lil Mama when she pulled this stunt. Just because you are a judge on a dance show does not give you VIP access to stages my dear, but thanks for the kicks and giggles; I went to bed with hiccups.
On another note, I loved how Beyonce was dancing to her baby boo boo song..too cute.

Kanye West loses his cool at MTV VMAs

Oh Kanye, when will it end? Earlier tonight, Kanye was caught running up on stage to defend the honor of Beyonce. While Country singer Taylor Swift stood on stage giving her acceptance speech for Best Female Video (her first win and the first moonman giveaway for the night with Beyonce nominated in the same category), Kanye ran on stage to say that Beyonce had "one of the best videos of all time."
There had been rumors throughout the night that Kanye was a little intoxicated. This was made valid when Keri Hilson tweeted that Kanye and Amber offered her a swig from their Hennessey bottle.
Not that his outburst was right but does it really still surprise us? it's Kanye West, he's always been this way. At this point it's just deja vu, however, if all fails he can always blame it on the alcohol.

Video Promos: VMA's promo for Michael Jackson tribute
It is official! I was a little skeptical when I got word that Janet Jackson would be appearing at this year's VMA's to perform a tribute to her brother Michael, but now that the promo is out I am officially amped.
The promo is really nice and creative. If this doesn't hype you up, I honestly don't know what will.

Chris Brown and Rihanna MTV special

There has been so much talk surrounding the altercation between Rihanna and Chris that MTV has decided to put together a special to highlight said event.
The special is called "Love In Trouble". The half-hour show will discuss the result of Rihanna and Chris' altercation.
Hopefully in this special they don't try to take sides and show both sides to the story and don't just scratch the surface. I also hope they discuss the fact that the two were forced to act like they were happy because they had people in their ear more concerned with public appeal and less with their happiness.
The show will feature industry professionals, journalists, and other experts; this will be interesting.
The MTV special will air today at 6PM ET/PT .

Diddy blames the DJ for the "Hip Hop recession"
"People have figured out the formula when they make records for radio, and DJs ain't DJs no more. DJs don't break records no more. DJs don't play album cuts. DJs play what is going to move the crowd. DJs, they don't expose you to the newness. That was the DJs' thing. Hip Hop is in a recession also. It's not dead, it's definitely way better than where it was at, as far as with 'Ye, T.I. and with Jeezy. It's so much great stuff out there, the responsibility has to come with the DJs."
I can't lie, I gotta agree with the crook on this one. I blame the radio as a whole but yes, the DJ must also take the blame and so should you Diddy. How dare you even open up your fly trap to blame someone when your ish is in shambles! You can't even hold on to one successful artist but I'll run tell that at a later date.
The radio sucks filthy pond water these days. You can't keep your radio on for more than one song because radio personalities and DJ's play the songs they are payed to play (yes I know) and forget about calling up to request a song, ain't happenin' captain. If it's not in the line up you can forget about hearing it. Radio is the reason why garbage artists and their garbage music have been accepted because that's how they feed us their nonsense, through the radio. The entire industry needs to get their ish together, immediatetly.
