Does T-Pain Still Have Fire Left In His Career?
T-Pain has made a name for himself as being that artist that uses auto-tune to no avail. He has successfully built his career on the software and doesn’t look like he is interested in letting up on it.
He was doing just fine with it, churning out countless hits and becoming the featured King. Literally at the 2008 Grammy Awards, T-Pain was on every song that was nominated in one of the categories, that’s how in much demand he was.
Surely but truly, other artists wanted in on the phenom which kick-started the all too familiar saying “all good things must come to an end.” Other artists started incorporating the effect into their songs thinking that they could eliminate the need for REAL singers by using auto-tune like toilet tissue, literally and figuratively.
Soon everyone grew tired of the sound of auto-tune and that is when the bashing began. At the center of it all was T-Pain, who was dubbed the person that made it popular again, and it seemed like his career suffered a crushing blow during the summer of 09’ when Jay-Z declared auto-tune dead.
With the lack of hits T-Pain has been able to supply from 2009 till now, does he still have some fire left in his career?

Is The Media's Love Affair With Beyonce Over?
After watching the Grammy's last Sunday along and witnessing the response that Beyonce's performance received, I am convinced that the media is no longer in love with her and want out of their relationship….just in time for Valentine’s Day, how sweet.

Why 'Stans' Do More Harm Than Good For Artists And Music
Fans of music have a love/hate relationship with individuals that worship the ground that artists walk on as well as the air that they breathe. The aforementioned characteristics are usually designated to individuals who are known as Stans – a term that rose to popularity after rapper Eminem composed a song with the same title about a fictional obsessed fan.
Are they obsessed? Probably; but one thing is for sure, they love and adore any and everything a particular artist does whether it be right or wrong.
They are everywhere but most commonly in forums and comment areas on blogs and websites defending the artist they are most obsessed with and attacking artists that are clearly better in an attempt to place the artist they are “stanning” for on a higher pedestal. If said artist puts out less than perfect material and is called out on it, they make it a priority to stick up for said artist – an artist that more than likely knows nothing of their existence.
Though Stans are a great addition to an artist’s career entourage, do they do more harm than good?

Has Ne-Yo Taken R.Kelly's Place As The King Of R&B?
Last night, I stumbled into one of my usual music debates. One thing that I personally enjoy is getting other music fans opinions about the artists that make up the genres.
Though many will deny this point, some artists succeed at knocking others off of their pedestals. For example, many female artists have been trying desperately to get on Beyonce’s level when it comes to vocals and performance skills, with some failing miserably.
But that’s another topic for another post.
Two artists that popped up for debate were Ne-Yo and R.Kelly. What was funny about this debate was the fact that Ne-Yo and Kelly had problems with one another a couple of years back after life was pumped into drama between the two when they toured together. R.Kelly was reportedly being a diva and Ne-Yo was sick of it.
It’s no secret; Ne-Yo has practically solidified himself as the go-to person when it comes to writing hit songs and being featured on records with top artists. He can sing just as well as he can write, and when it comes to music he understands its general make up and what it takes to make a universal hit.
R.Kelly ruled the 90’s and most of the early 2000’s with his “baby making” singles that became fan favorites, not to mention songs that went on to be elementary school graduation staples; but with his recent album performing horribly, it leads me to question if he is still relevant.
Is Ne-Yo the new King of R&B? And if so, is there still room for R.Kelly?

Why Is Rihanna Hated?
Rihanna is currently one of the most successful artists in the realm of music today. Her fashion sense has done the job of baiting her new fans only to have her songs earn her a loyal following. Things were not always like this for the Barbadian beauty, but then again every star has to earn their way to the top.
With a scandal behind her and a new album Rated R, that is said to have sold over a million copies worldwide, Rihanna is well on her way to being considered a superstar if she isn’t already. With a new fond fame and a batch of admirers, there are still the some that just cannot stomach Rihanna for one reason or another.
Which begs the question, what’s up with all of the hate?

Usher is prepared to make a comeback with his brand new album Raymond vs. Raymond. With a fresh new divorce and single status by his side, Usher, ready to channel those energies, is ready to give birth to a hit collection that will be reminiscent of his Confessions days, but is that possible?

It's 2010, Time To End The Kanye West Jokes
2009 is gone and 2010 is the new reality. Somehow the things that have occurred in 2009 have managed to trickle into the New Year which makes for a very annoying situation.
Feng shui suggests that on New Year’s Eve, you should clean-up your house and get rid of all the things that are no longer of value to you.
Not a surprise there right? Who wants to start a brand new year with the same baggage from the year before?
With that said, the music feng shui of this year needs to be to leave the dumb actions and events in the past; one of those is the Kanye West-Taylor Swift stage crash and all references to it.
I was perusing the net, as I usually do and came across a piece on my affiliate MOG.com about Kanye West and his daunting antics. It was pretty much an evaluation of his numerous outbursts - which of course stems from his VMA stage crash.
