[NEWS] Ja Rule To Serve 2 Years In Jail On Gun Charges

According to reports, Ja Rule has reached a plea deal on gun charges that stemmed from his July 2007 arrest -- the same time Lil Wayne was arrested for being in possession of a gun after a show in New York.

The plea deal was reached earlier today when Ja Rule stood before a judge in a Manhattan courtroom and plead guilty to the charges.

In response to the news, Rule tweeted, "Minor setback for a major comeback."

Ja Rule is scheduled to appear in court in February for sentencing.
