Christina Aguilera's 'VH1 Storytellers' Performances [Videos]

I've always felt there was something special about Christina Aguilera but she always seemed to be in the shadow of other artists. When she first made her debut she was widely compared to Britney Spears and now with her return she has been compared to Lady Gaga every time she blinks her eye.

From what she displays, the girl could careless.

Christina's claim to fame hasn't really been gimmicks or doing outlandish things, it's always been her voice. For a petite woman (#teampetite by the way) she's got a bigger than life voice. That bigger than life voice was put on a pedestal last night during an episode of VH1's Storytellers.

Christina performed songs from her latest release Bionic as well as a couple of songs from her popular LP Stripped.

The performances were organic, touching and relatable. For fans out there that felt that there wasn't much the singer had to offer besides a voice, walked away thinking a bit differently.

It wasn't just a performance, it was an experience.

Being edgy and shocking is done so often, now it's just redundant and played out.

More personal and reflective songs from Christina seem to bring out the true essence of her voice. My fingers are crossed that we will get more of that from her.

Christina Aguilera's album Bionic is in stores now.
