Christina Aguilera announces new album plans

Christina Aguilera has announced plans for her new album which is scheduled to drop in March of this year.

We haven't seen Christina since Back To Basics with a brief check-in with her greatest hits album Keeps Gettin Better: A Decade of Hits, so of course fans are excited to see what the petite lady has cooked up.

Because she tends to change styles every album, I for one am very interested in what she will give us. I'm thinking electro-pop; for some reason I think that will be the new sound for 2010.

Christina spoke candidly about the album at a New Year's Eve party in Vegas where she revealed her excitement for the new year because the album Light & Darkness will make its debut as well as her first lead role Burlesque.

I’m so thrilled about the New Year to come with the release of the album and the release of the movie. It’ll be March next year for the album and Thanksgiving weekend for Burlesque.

Tricky Stewart, Linda Perry and The Neptunes are some of the producers/songwriters signed on to the project.

Because Linda's hand in albums usually means that the artists will give some real introspective songs, we might be in for some more "Beautiful" type tracks.
