DMX says no to rehab

Celebrity Rehab that is. The VH1 hit show can count X out, because his publicist has released a statement denying the reports that DMX is heading into Dr. Drew's office.

I must have been under a rock for the past few days , because I didn't even know that DMX was a prospect for the show until I checked my e-mail and saw this,

"Several media outlets have reported that my client Earl Simmons, aka DMX has signed on to appear in VH1's Celebrity Rehab Reality Show. These reports are false and Mr. Simmons has not greed to appear in any reality show. Mr. Simmon's is currently serving a 90 day jail sentence at Tent City Jail in Arizona . He has expressed great appreciation to the overwhelming amount of support he has received from his fans during this difficult time. He would like his fans to know that he is taking this time to focus on his personal as well as spiritual growth, and is looking forward to being released soon."
Well, OK. Personally, I think that his appearance on the show, if it were true, would have given DMX a boost in his career simply because for some reason when Hip Hop artists get reality shows their public appeal sky rockets (except for 50 and his "Apprentice" inspired reality show).

Then again, DMX's last reality show on BET was a real head scratcher so maybe he should stay away from reality TV.

So for now, it's a no for DMX and celebrity rehab.
