Video Leak: Kanye West (ft. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, & Nicki Minaj) 'Monster'
So it seems the unfinished video for Kanye West's "Monster" leaked online and I was able to get my hands on it. Look fast, this might be pulled off within hours.
The video consists of closeups of Kanye's lips and grill, Nicki Minaj giving herself a lapdance, women hanging from their necks, little girls with no pupils playing double dutch in a room full of books, people eating each other, and Kanye holding a severed head among other things.
You can tell this isn't the official completed video because there are scenes that have getty image watermarks on it, but it wouldn't be too crazy to believe that the completed version will look similar to this.

[ALBUM REVIEW] Rick Ross 'Teflon Don'
Although most don’t see a problem with Rick having a job that may have been in law enforcement before becoming a rapper that rapped about slinging drugs and breaking laws, it was a complete 360 to what he was attempting to portray as this character known as Rick Ross and that rubbed most people the wrong way.
With Rick Ross’ new album Teflon Don, all of that will more than likely become like dust and particles in his past that he can simply just brush off. Teflon Don is refreshing and a well-deserved change of pace for those who frequent the genre of commercial Hip-Hop searching for something that they can listen to more than once.

[NEWS] Spike Lee On Directing Rick Ross Video: 'I Don't Know Where That Came From'
Rick recently announced that Hype Williams will direct the video for "Live Fast, Die Young" instead; however, in the same interview Rick suggested that Spike would instead direct another one of the videos for a song off of the album.

VIdeo Teaser: Rick Ross (feat. John Legend) 'Sweet Life'
Rick Ross has released a video teaser for his song "Sweet Life" featuring John Legend. If you can remember, they also teamed up for Rick's song "Magnificant" (one of the best songs on his album Deeper Than Rap.
There's something about these two together that I just love. Maybe it's the fact that they are complete opposites. Whatever it is, it wouldn't hurt if they went on to do a best of both worlds album.
SideBar: Apparently, Rick has changed his name to Ricky Rozay. I already have a category for this dude that is listed under Rick Ross so I will continue to call him that *shrugs*. I suppose, this is what happens when one links up with Diddy - the master of name changes

Video Premiere: Dirty Money (feat. Rick Ross & Nicki Minaj) 'Hello, Goodmorning (Remix)'
Here is the new video from Diddy and his crew Dirty Money for the remix of their song "Hello, Goodmorning." The song is slated to appear on Diddy's album Last Train To Paris that has been pushed back to September 2010.
The video is interesting. I see that Diddy is looking to bring back the flashy side of Hip-Hop with the gold teeth and excessive diamond necklaces...ok.
I'm off to grab a snow cone, I craved one the minute I saw Nicki Minaj's wig....

Video Premiere: Rick Ross (feat. Ne-Yo) 'Super High'
Here is the a new music video from Rick Ross for his song "Super High" off of his upcoming album The Teflon Don.
The video for "Super High" takes place in the desert with Rick Ross and Ne-Yo playing daring bikers. The beautiful Stacey Dash plays Rick's leading lady. I like the song, I like the memorizing funk soul sample. The video didn't really match the song and if it did it probably would have done wonders for the song.

Video Premiere: Rick Ross ft. T-Pain & Pusha T 'Maybach Music 2.5'
Here is the new video from Rick Ross for his song "Maybach Music 2.5" that features T-Pain and the Clipse's Pusha T.
The beat for this song is so fresh and hypnotic.

Video Premiere: Rick Ross ft. Robin Thicke-Lay Back
Here a new video from Rick Ross for his song "Lay Back" featuring Robin Thicke.
The video is pretty hot, using elements of colors to bring out the overall appeal of the song. I personally am not loving this lover boy direction Rick Ross is taking. To me he is just not smooth enough to pull off the velvet teddy bear style. I'm all about peace and harmony, it's the Libra way, but he should find someone to beef with to help stay afloat.
Video Rating: A yummy B+.

Rick Ross returns with an endoresement deal

I really, really underestimated Rick Ross' staying power. He's kind of like a bug that keeps on reappearing after you have sprayed it with bug spray....like two months ago; I respect his drive and persistence.
Rick Ross and his crew Triple C's have teamed up with 1800-a tequila-to endorse the brand. 1800 Tequila Select Silver is the first and only 100 proof tequila on the market *100 proof! Damn...I think I'll have to say no to that, my liver just shivered*
Isn't it funny that not too long ago people (including moi) were nailing down the final touches on what would be Rick's career coffin, and now he has an endorsement? Ironic or what?
And to think, I thought Tia's book would be the final nail, go figure.

Rick Ross is a shady fraud

So in a real ha ha moment, Rick Ross and the editors at XXL magazine were put on blast by representatives of Louis Vuitton. Apparently, the shades that were worn by Rick on the cover of their May 2009 issue are counterfeit,
"Dear Editor:With all fairness, there is a chance that Rick may not have had anything to do with the fake shades. In most cases, the fashion directors of the magazine's usually put together the artists attires for cover shoots and mainly artists that will appear on their mag's front cover; However, I highly doubt this. I believe that Rick is fake therefore everything else that is affiliated with him must be fake as well.
We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.
The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct the confusion.
Sincerely,
Michael D. Pantalony, Esq.

Hopefully, this will put a lid on Rick's constant gum flapping because his diarrhea of the mouth has been working my very last nerve.

Trick Daddy is ready to discipline Rick Ross

Trick Daddy is preparing to take-off his belt for Rick and give him a spanking for misbehaving. Nothing kinky, just business. In case you missed it, Rick said a few out of pocket things about Trick Daddy on his song "Valley Of Death" *referring to Tricks illness as AIDS* that appears on his chart-topping album Deeper Than Rap. Trick, in short, is not having it any more.
In a recent interview with Angela Yee's Shade 45 satellite-radio show, Trick laid out his plan of how he is going to whip Rick into shape because and I quote "Rick start eating table food too fast" *I'll let that go because it is just too easy*,
"I got new rules. I'm going back to the old ass-whoopin' days. I'm gonna start beating my kid's ass.... I'd like to apologize for my kid's misbehaving in class. ... I let Ross start eating table food too fast. When you don't raise your kids, they will throw their hands up at you.... I was a big Ross fan," Trick told Yee. "If you check all my interviews, the Web, radio, I never dissed him ... I supported him." He went on to say the Bawse assassinated his character and that during a phone conversation with Rick about a month ago, Ross warned him he would be "taking shots" at him."And do you know Rick had the nerve to let Trick know that he was going to take low-blows at him?! Polite or what....
"I said, 'What? Taking shots? While you're taking shots, what the f--- you think I'm gonna do?"Rick has been popping off at the mouth lately strutting his ego on video cameras taunting folks, he really needs to humble up. How interesting is it that now the Southern rappers are beefing. Not too long ago they were ragging on East Coast rappers and their excessive beefing saying that the South would never be like that because they love and support one another. The brotherhood must've went sour somewhere down the line; unless of course the brotherly love was all a front from the start.

Rick Ross and his big mouth

Rick Ross sure has been talking a whole lot of ish lately even more so now that his album placed itself in the number one spot on the Billboard charts selling 158,000 copies in it's first week. However, enough is most definitely enough.
In this video clip of Ross and his juvenile crew, he says that 50 Cent and Eminem have been dropped from their label. Earlier this week, I reported that there are rumors floating around that Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo might have been dropped from their labels or that their labels were about to drop them. Details on that situation remain a little sketchy.
No, I have not a clue how Rick would know this, but hey stranger things have happened.
I can't wait for Rick to shut up already, and the person that allows him to have access to video cameras needs to be put on a time-out because the more he speaks the more credit I give to my next door neighbors 6 year old son whose vocabulary is much larger than Ross'.

Music Rumors: 50 Cent's label hates his album

Turns out 50 just ain't as hot as he thought he was. Rumor has it 50's label, Interscope Records, are not feeling 50 Cent's album and because of this they want him to head back in the studio to record some more material; which means, it might take a little longer for the album to come out. According to sources, his album seems to be missing a certain je ne sais quois. Hmmm... I wonder why?
Could it be his relentless attacks on Rick Ross (whose album actually saw the light of day and did pretty well according to reviews) that could be distracting him? And not to add salt to the wound, but Deeper Than Rap is said to be topping the Billboard 200 charts (the numbers come in tomorrow so stay tuned).
Then again, there are the record labels that sometimes want their artists to dumb down their masterpieces just for marketing purposes.
Either way, it's time to get to work 50....

Movie Trailers: Rick Ross' Deeper Than Rap Short Film
Check out the trailer for Rick Ross' Deeper Than Rap short film. Shout out to On Smash for the movie poster I posted yesterday for the short film.
Honestly, it seems like an interesting watch. That little caked nonsense on the side of homeboys temple kind of grossed me out (I cringe when I see gruesome movies, I'm more of a comedy gal) but it seems like it would be a good film to at least say you've seen.

Rick Ross Deeper Than Rap movie poster

Check out the movie poster for Rick Ross' short film Deeper Than Rap. The short film shares the same title as his album.
Speaking of Ross, it seems like he just might be building up a little momentum despite the fact that 50 invested so much time in trying to ruin his career. Ross is showing no signs of leaving the public eye, so it looks as if 50 might have to think a little harder if he wants to carry out his mission successfully. Even Ja Rule has come out of hiding to declare that he is Team Ross.
Ross' album is set to hit stores April 21st.

Rick Ross' ex prepares to release tell-all book
But of course we knew this was going to happen. According to Thisis50.com, Rick Ross' daughter's mother-not to be confused with his other child's mother that was recently put on blast by 50 Cent via her sex tape-will release a tell-all book titled Tia's Diary. The book is said to have a release date of May 19th and is said to house a whole lot of juicy details about the "Boss". The release date is not confirmed so it is subject to change. 50 Cent is reportedly not going to publish the project but will have a stake in it's share...but of course.
~Sigh~ I really have nothing else to say on this, tis' a shame. Check out the cover of the book....

Rick Ross comes out of the C.O. closet
Is anyone else concerned with the fact that Ross tends to speak in the third person when referring to himself?
Good to see Rick come clean. All he needed was a determined 50 and a few cartoons to be honest and up front about his past.
There is nothing wrong with having a steady job with a salary before taking off as a rapper; now, giving up a scholarship to sell drugs is wrong on many levels. I guess you live and you learn.

Rick Ross covers XXL magazine
Rick Ross is XXL's cover boy for their May 2009 issue and "The Boss" is ready to talk it out.
About what?
Oh nothing, just the C.O. drama,
“Me not answering or addressing that situation has nothing to do with my career. I’ve accomplished enough, and I’ve made enough money for me to be good… Yes, it was me in those pictures. But I’ma tell you this. Me taking that job, I was doing my job. You understand what I mean?”
Oh and his beef with 50,
“50 Cent made a statement [that he'll] ruin somebody life. Where I come from, it takes a AK-47 to do that. Cartoons, we laugh—funny. You put on a wig, come out the closet—funny. At the end of the day, we in the streets finna drop another No.1 album, we pressing on.”
Seems interesting.
Side Order: The whole smoke emanating from the mouth is getting a little played out, no?
Album Covers: Rick Ross-Deeper Than Rap

Check out Rick Ross' album cover for Deeper Than Rap due in stores April 21st. It looks very..well...debonair, interesting. Is Rick trying to pull an LL Cool J "I Need Love" ?!
I found it interesting that now he is being more humble and less gangster ish hmmm....
