Usher Pushes 'Raymond vs. Raymond' Back To March 2010

Are you among the many who are still waiting on Usher's album Raymond vs. Raymond to hit record store shelves..ahem...I mean iTunes?

Well, you will have to wait just a little bit longer as Usher has decided to push the album back.

The new release date is scheduled for March 30th, 2010.

It seems that Usher has taken my advice to push his album back instead of releasing it after it took a leak two months before its release.

The singer is also scheduled to premiere the official video for his song "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" tomorrow morning exclusively on MTV.

This is definitely a good move for Usher as he can go back to the drawing board and concoct hit singles instead of relying on just one single to carry the album; which seems to be the theme for a lot of artists who experience album flops.

Usher has released a total of 4 singles off of the album and the only one that is catching fire is "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)", no bueno.

For an album that is being boasted as the follow-up to his smash album Confessions, they better prepare to come with it.

You can catch Usher when he performs live at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards this coming Sunday, January 31. The singer will also put on a performance during the half-time of the NBA All-Star Game that is set to air on TNT on Valentines Day, February 14th.

SideBar: Does the NBA want to ruin relationships this Valentines Day? Scheduling a game of that magnitude on a day that some women (not me) consider the ultimate "lovers day" is like washing your hands and drying them on the floor...not a good idea.

Alicia Keys' album gets pushed back

Didn't think that Alicia could ever experience this, but it seems like The Element of Freedom will not be released on December 1st as planned. Alicia's album will reportedly be released on December 15th instead.

Some are crediting the lack of buzz her new single "Doesn't Mean Anything" has received. I can see how that could be, I personally don't like the song and think that it isn't one of Alicia's best work.

The obvious reason would be the supposed love triangle Alicia has put herself into with Swizz Beatz and his ex-wife Mashonda. Surely her not speaking about it has left a few people sour, not that it is any of our business.

At any rate, hopefully the next single Alicia releases will have a little more soul and a beat that is worth while.

Mariah Carey's album pushed-back...again

I am really starting to feel for Mariah with all of these excessive push-backs. It was announced yesterday that Mariah's album Memoirs Of An Imprefect Angel, has been pushed-back again. The new tentative date for release is September 29th.

To add more weirdness to Mariah's equation, she has gone ahead and canceled all of her TV appearances and her promotional performances. I'm guessing it is because of the push-back of the album and Eminem's diss track sure didn't help. I have reason to believe that this album will not see the light of day until the start of next year.

Album Push-Back: Letoya Luckett's Lady Love

Letoya's album Lady Love has been reportedly pushed back from May 19th to June 16th. The reason for the push back is the fear that it will not do too well on the date of release because it shares the same release date as Eminem and his album Relapse....and everybody and their mama's (literally) are waiting for Em's album.

"Not Anymore" the singers first single off of the album, does not seem to be doing too well. There is hardly if any radio play for it and it's just not catchy enough. Letoya is set to drop her second single off of the album titled "Regret".

On the charts...
