Fantasia Barrino Records A Song About Being A 'Homewrecker' Titled 'Lucky'

The recent events surrounding American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is like an episode courtesy of All My Children. Everything from infidelity, to allegedly being sued for said infidelity not to mention attempting to commit suicide are all of the stains left by Ms. Barrino in the wake of a very messy scandal.

So what could possibly be next in this salacious tale? A song of course.

Titled "Lucky", a leaked track from the singer has been dubbed the "homewreckers anthem." It is dubbed this because in the song, Fantasia is heard singing to a man that has another woman, but at the present moment is satisfying the singer.

A little bit of art imitating life and vice versa. How messy.

But even so, Fantasia isn't the first singer to make a song about being the other woman. SWV sang about it in "You're The One", Xscape belted out lyrics that suggested infidelity in "My Little Secret" and if you want to take it all the way back, Luther Ingrim "If Loving You is Wrong."

And just like those guilty pleasure tunes were good, "Lucky" falls in line as a song that you know is wrong, but sounds so good.

In "Lucky", Fantasia opens up the track with "Damn, she get to have it every day/ What a lucky girl/ Ooh, well tonight I’ll take her place/I’m a lucky girl/ Damn, do you spread her legs this way/ What a lucky girl/ Hmm, you’re the king at this foreplay/ I’m a lucky girl!"

For the record, I am a huge advocate for monogamy, but damn this song is good *shrugs*

To my understanding, this single will not appear on Fantasia's new album Back To Me (due in stores August 24, 2010) but it will serve as a buzz single whether planned or not.

They got me baited...
