Diddy Addresses Lil Kim/Nicki Minaj Beef: 'I Ain't Gonna Make No Apologies For Working With Nicki Minaj'

Can't say I haven't been waiting patiently for the man of the hour to speak his piece. Diddy sat down with the BBC's Tim Westwood on Friday (June11) and discussed the drama that has been taking up space known as the Lil Kim/Nicki Minaj "beef."

I'm not going to lie, it's been entertaining. But just like most things, all good things must come to an end and this one is long overdue.

Diddy concurs.

When asked about the "beef" Diddy said,

"I want to say I love Lil' Kim, man. I'm sorry that she's mad. I never would have thought that by me working with another artist that she would take it the wrong way. But if she's taking it the wrong way it ain't meant like that. Nicki never did anything to her."

Oh and about that swagger jackin' talk...

"She ain't trying to swagger-jack or say nothing negative about her. I just think that Kim needs to just understand that Nicki as a whole has always been respectful of her and Nicki's not trying to be her. I ain't gonna make no apologies for working with Nicki Minaj. [She is] somebody that's never said anything negative about Kim and just really has always, in my eyes, has paid homage to Kim. She's a different MC. They don't even talk about the same thing. If you're like a connoisseur of MCs and you a specialist — like what Kim has talked about and what Nicki talks about — they don't talk about the same things."

Side Note: I am officially over the word "homage". They have caused me to hate that 6 letter word...

Diddy believes that Lil Kim is only coming at Nicki Minaj because she's got a new project up her sleeve and she's looking to conjure up some free buzz to get people talking about her.

Interesting.

Not sure how Kim is going to feel about this but something tells me one of those feelings won't be chipper.

Meanwhile, Diddy has pushed back his album Last Train To Paris yet again. The new release date is set for September 20, 2010. That album has been pushed back for almost a year, what's the issue?
