Why are rappers so sensitive?

I mean seriously, this whole Jay-Z and T-Pain ish is starting to turn my stomach. I have been reporting it on one my columns and am starting to feel like I am back in high school with all the drama.

My main issue with the situation is the telling-it-like-it-is gene that some people seem to be deficient in.

T-Pain called up the Ed Lover Show this morning to talk about his rant he did in Vegas where he called out Jay-Z implying that he was old by exaggerating his age..of course that's neither here nor there.

The part that strikes me as odd is why couldn't T-Pain say how he felt about the song 3 months ago when the song hit radio waves? Or... grab Jay-Z's mic at Summer Jam and say how he felt after Jay-Z performed "D.O.A." with him standing right next to him, that would have been an opportune time.

He did explain that the reason why he lashed out was because there were hecklers at the pool party he was dj'ing at in Vegas, that were throwing up Jay's "dynasty" sign and saying that T-Pain is over because Jay-Z released "D.O.A."

When did rappers become so sensitive? I for one can respect a man that is in touch with his feelings, but over a song? If you are supposed to be an artist you are supposed to be able to continuously reinvent yourself and come up with new attention grabbing material and tactics to keep your audience interested. Besides, Jay was NOT the one that turned folks off of auto-tunes, we've been done with it before everyone started jumping on the bandwagon.

Furthermore, being attached to something even if it is a signature sound that has made you money is not artistic. Did T-Pain think this would last forever?
And if Jay-Z is so old as everyone is implying, why not ignore what he has to say and brush it off as old man ramblings? Asking Jay to publicly vouch for you seems to be just a tad bit pathetic...well according to me.

T-Pain asks that the websites leave the situation alone and that he and Jay are over the so called beef, which may be true but it really is sad that he is looking to Jay-Z to clear him of auto-tune usage to go on with his career.

NEWSFLASH: Jay-Z is an artist, not the god of music; unless of course you know something we don't know.

You want anyone to clear you of anything you need to put out good music for the fans..we are the ones that are buying it, we're the boss.
