My, how the mighty have fallen. It looks like the only person The Inc has now is Ja Rule because R&B singer Lloyd has turned in his papers. In a press release sent out to a number of sites, effective like yesterday, Lloyd is no longer an artist under The Inc.
In the press release it stated that Lloyd was looking for a brand new direction in his career and The Inc is not one of them. Now, don't go jumping to conclusions, Lloyd assures that there is no bad blood between he and Irv this is just a move that he feels is appropriate for him and his career.
Can't say this is a big surprise. Irv has been struggling to get the company back to it's days of success ever since the whole money laundering trial that rocked Hip-Hop, so I knew the seams would start to give way sometime in the future. I wonder if Irv is kicking himself for booting Ashanti from the label? Oh well, do you think there is hope for The Inc with Ja's new song?
Maybe if this was from a brand new artist it would have flown under the radar, but I think a good majority of us are over Ja Rule. This is not a bad song, but if he wants to reclaim his thrown he needs to come with that new, new ish.
