Just how much damage did Jay-Z do with "D.O.A"?!

A catastrophe. I personally am not a huge Jay-Z fan *my future hubby is a big fan but me, eh* but I might just call him the best after this. Following the release of "Death Of Autotune" it looks like he might have ended a few careers. Now, I know it sounds a little ridiculous and like I'm jumping the gun with this one but I honestly feel he has stopped a few artists in their tracks; of course with my feelings I have facts, we all know how people love facts.

According to NY Magazine, "D.O.A." is more than just an ordinary Jay-Z song, it is a song with a vengeance. The Black Eyed Peas were scheduled to release their new album tomorrow, well the rumor of the moment is that they had copies of their albums shipped back to their label, Interscope Records, to have them all destroyed. This has not yet been confirmed but it does kind of make me giggle.

To further add to the facts, Jamie Foxx's song "Blame It" (which also uses auto-tunes and features T-Pain) has seen beau coup success on the charts from the time of it's release and now it has fallen from the number 3 spot on down to number 5; not a major change but coincidental change nonetheless. And T-Pain...well he bought that ridiculous "Big Ass Chain", need I say more?

Can I just say that this is not brand new. I BEEN said that auto-tunes was wack and completely overused when T-Pain came out before all the other lame artists jumped on the bandwagon, just for the record. I guess my voice is only but a piece of paint off of the big wall known as Jay-Z; what can I say, I totally underestimated the power of his voice, who knew?

On another note, in the new episode of Certified we tackle the entity known as auto-tunes make sure you check it out!
