Malice of Clipse puts himself on blast

Not very often do we get the chance to see Hip-Hop artists throw themselves under the bus by speaking the absolute truth. Some of them would like to have us in a fantasy world because it does wonders for their record sales.

In case you missed it, the Clipse ex-manager Anthony "Geezy" Gonzalez was indicted for running a very large drug cartel. What seems like a move to selvage his career, Malice took to his video camera to give us a little insight into his REAL life.

I can respect Malice for being up front and honest. I can see a change happening in Hip-Hop with artists shedding their planted ideas about what can sell records seeing that the community now are seeing shame in songs that speaks of drug dealing and pimping....well you know.

However, this might be career suicide. My question is, if his ex-manager had not been indicted on drug charges and it had not been made public would this video have seen the light of day?

The fact that he was putting on an act for sales and was really not this person he said he was (keep in mind he is not the only artist that lies about their wealth and past) has he lost the respect of his past audience that were interested in that lifestyle?

Fret not fantasy lovers, Malice is letting you know that the "foolishness" he puts into the songs are for your personal enjoyment and not the truth and may continue to include it in his songs for entertainment purposes. Let's see if other artist dare tell the truth as well.
