It's Lil Wayne week...
With all the lawsuits and court appearances Lil Wayne has been experiencing since the start of the year, he is ready to file some papers himself. According to Contact Music, Lil Wayne is suing film executives for fraud and breach of contract over a Sundance documentary titled The Carter that was supposed to be a movie about the rappers life but instead created a "scandalous portrayal" of it.
Wayne agreed to allow the film crew to follow him around with cameras to get insight into his everyday life. The deal was that Wayne would give the final approval in determining if the film was suitable to see the light of day. Wayne's manager reviewed it in December of 2008 and suggested changes and then again in January of this year and still wasn't happy.
Well, according to sources, the film executives failed to abide by Wayne's demands and went ahead and created a film and debuted it earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. The film showed Wayne in a negative light which upset both Wayne and his manager because there was content within the film that did not get the green light from Wayne or his rep. Wayne is also suing for unfair business practices and invasion of privacy.
Well, now I want to see what the big fuss is about....
