Ashanti is set to make her broadway debut as "Dorothy" in the revival of The Wiz, a hit musical that is a remake of The Wizard Of Oz with more kick and soul. The part was originally played by Diana Ross in the film in 1978.
The musical will play from June 12th through July 5th. Opening night is June 5th at New York City Center.
Good for Ashanti, Broadway might just be her calling.
