Trick Daddy reveals he has Lupus

In some very sad news that will really shock some folks, Miami rapper Trick Daddy has admitted to having Lupus.

At a radio interview with the very funny Ricky Smiley to promote his brand new memoir Magic City; Trials Of A Native Son being released by MTV Books, Trick spoke candidly about him finding out that he has the incurable disease and what he is doing to deal with this very distressing news.

"I went to the doctor like 12 years ago. He took all kinds of tests, because I was trying to get rid of what we call dry skin, she did biopsies and blood tests and swab tests. She told me I have the disease lupus."

On dealing with it,

"I’m the type of person, I came from so far of a struggle that it don’t matter to me, I learned to turn my downsides into jokes and get around it. My mama had eleven children from ten different men if she is strong enough to live with that I know I could live with this."

Here's wishing Trick good health and support during this very trying time. Keeping a healthy state of mind, eating healthy, and staying active will be the most important thing for Trick right now.
