If you haven't heard, Michael has sold out all of his 50 shows at the O2 Arena and although that is something to celebrate, it seems that MJ and Co. might have a bigger problem in the long run. Insurance companies are not too confident that Mike can do all 50 shows and because of this, no one wants to insure them .
His first 10 dates are covered because they are sure that he can carry those out with a bang but from July to February there are no insurance companies looking to risk it. Chief Executive Randy Phillips is confident that Mike can perform all dates by assuring that he is in great health and that his blood test have come back in tip top condition. He also goes on to say that if they can not find an insurance company willing to insure, they will cover the shows themselves.
Geesh...no support at all huh?! I definitely can see where they are coming from. They feel Mike has been publicized as being sick and near death parading around in wheelchairs with face masks and open umbrella's on non-rainy days; that would have me a little skeptical myself. Plus, we are in this thing called a recession no one has money to gamble.
However, we all know when Mike performs the man still can get down! Not supporting him in what may be the most successful tour he's had since the 90's is harsh. Hopefully everything works out for the best.
