Janelle Monae "Many Moons"

Wow!! this is always what I say when I see this girl. She is so quirky and so damn talented. Her video speaks volumes and the song holds such great meaning and has a message that is almost impossible to ignore. The video is creative and original and it really is a breath of fresh air. I will admit, at the beginning I just couldn't get with the "Jimmy Neutron" inspired hairstyle but now I think it is absolutely adorable and it has J. Monae written all over it. What I like about Janelle is the fact that she does not adhere to the stereotypical prototype of an "R&B singer" yet she is still able to stay true to the art form and the genre. The video is nothing short of amazing and her style is funky and fun all at the same time. I am just dying for her and Kanye to collaborate on a song! Their styles are so similar and I think they would make magic in the studio.

I give this video a yummy A for originality and stylish flare.
