Popcorn Moments: Do You Remember When Tupac Was On 'In Living Color'?

When sketch comedy show In Living Color was the talk of the town, I made sure to watch every single episode, religiously. But for the life of me, I can't recall seeing Tupac in any of the episodes; there's a chance that I might be the only one.

Tupac appeared in one of the skits playing himself, and acted alongside a young Jamie Foxx and Tommy Davidson.

The skit is hilarious and shows just how much personality Tupac had.

Monday, September 13, marked the 14th anniversary of Tupac's passing.

A week after the day in which Tupac Shakur would have celebrated his 39th birthday, the news of his song "Dear Mama" being added to the U.S. Library of Congress' National Recording Registry is announced.

Today Is Tupac's Birthday...

Today would have been West coast rapper Tupac Shakur's 39th birthday. I always wondered what people's views regarding Hip-Hop would have been if Tupac was still ruling the airwaves. Would music have taken a different direction or would it have been the same and if so would he still be at the forefront of the movement.

In celebration of his birthday, Vibe.com dug into their archives and found a long lost interview that was conducted and recorded in May 1996.

Remembering Tupac (1971-1996)

It almost slipped my mind today that this day marks the 13th year anniversary of Tupac Shakur's passing. With my head consumed with all the VMA coverage I have been swamped in, I had to pull myself away from the glitz to pay homage to Hip-Hop's most prized possession.

Despite what people's perceptions may be of Pac he was a very talented individual. His Gemini qualities allowed him to express his thoughts in a way that everyone could understand; his mutable trait would eventually lead to his downfall.



He didn't spend most of his career rapping about drugs, women, and money as people would like you to believe. Did you know that he did not rack up a criminal record until after he became a music artist? Pac attended a performance art school where he starred in school plays and he would later go on to dance alongside alternative rap group Digital Underground (the minds behind "Humpty Dance").

His music style was heavily influenced by his life's lessons which was a trait that allowed him to stand above the rest. To those who argue that Tupac was not an MC need to do extensive research before concurring. All of Pac's songs narrated untold stories. We all knew a Brenda in the early 90's but no one rapped about it until Pac.



Tupac will always be missed and his name will continue to remain synonymous with Hip-Hop. Thanks to his music and his unconditional love for music, we have an abundance of songs recorded by him. Through his songs he will forever live on in our hearts.

Yummy Pics: Tupac Sighting?!

Do you see this sh*t?! There are a few sites on the internet that I actually despise and one of those sites is TMZ.com. Why do I have a problem with TMZ? Well, besides the fact that I feel they are the modern day one stop shop for the most ridiculous sensational news in the U.S., they report on events that are better left untouched. This supposed Tupac sighting is one of them.

For years following Tupac's demise, people have been spreading tales that he is still roaming the face of the earth. I have heard everything from he is in Chicago somewhere raising a family to he's in Africa living as a sheep herder and they get even more ridiculous than that.

These pics released by the site implying that Pac was photoed at a club in New Orleans is just plain low. The man has passed away and this, in my opinion, is a slap in the face of his family especially his mother who is still mourning the lost of her son.

It's great that Tupac's spirit still lives on so much so that people have a hard time believing that he is gone but this is just pure and utter nonsense. I didn't think TMZ could get any lower than plastering Rihanna's bruised and battered face on their website after paying off an officer to illegally release the photo, but yet again they have proven me wrong. Tis' is a shame.
