Another film for Bey?

Reportedly, director Sherwood Schwartz and son Lloyd Schwartz have signed a deal to bring the legendary Gilligan's Island to the silver screen and has an eye pointing towards Beyonce to play the glamorous and demanding Ginger. I haven't seen Cadallac Records as of yet but people's opinions are very mixed.

Some say she sucked and others say she did a great job, I'll have to judge for myself. I am all for Beyonce doing actual movies and not musovies as I call it which stands for movies that are based on music or music where singer/actors have to sing; that gets old real quick

Either way, congrats to her! But be warned the girl will soon pass out from all the work she does...I wonder if she will go for the Wonder Woman role too?!

Side Order: Speaking of singers and movies, RZA is interested in Rihanna playing Vanity in the remake of The Last Dragon.

Behind the scenes of "Notorious"

To make sure they recreated a classic Biggie concert perfectly, the director and actors of the upcoming biopic "Notorious" had to make sure they got everything right down to Biggie's swaying dancing swag. I honestly can't wait for this film to come out. Its like I said, we've been waiting long enough.

Of course Mr. Attention a.k.a. Diddy had to make an appearance, per usual. Its great he made a contribution to the production of the film because one thing you have to give Diddy whenever he is involved, things come out looking good. Remember, the film hits theaters January 16, 2009 so mark your calendars!

What Does Beyonce and Etta James Have In Common?

A movie!

Here are some pictures of Beyonce in her new role as the legendary Etta James in the up and coming film "Cadillac Records". I will be honest, when I first heard that Beyonce was gearing up to portray Etta in a film I thought that she was going to tank and not do the movie justice; In my opinion, she looks and sounds nothing like Ms. James and I just couldn't see "perfect Beyonce" playing a heroin addict. However, after seeing these pics I am actually excited to see it when it hits theaters.

Beyonce reportedly packed on 15 pounds to play the role of Etta. I just pray she sings "At Last" flawlessly, that song is one of my classical favorites and it will just crush me if she vocally kills it. Mos Def, Cedric The Entertainer, and Gabrielle Union are some of the other actors that will be acting in "Cadillac Records".

"Cadillac Records" is a biographical movie that chronicles the life of Leonard Chess(who was an executive of a Chicago-based record label) and the singers who recorded for the company Chess Records in the 1950's. Chess records specialized in R&B, Blues, Gospel, Jazz, and rock and roll. Check it out when it hits theaters on December 5Th.
