M.Y.'s open letter to T.I.

T.I. is scheduled to report to prison today at 12PM.

Dear T.I.,

Today is the day I am sure you have been dreading from the day you were arrested for trying to purchase illegal weapons. In any other circumstance with any other rapper that has done said actions and saw no error in their ways, I would have taken this time and made it a priority to roast them; however with you, I have to say you have made some of us proud.

Using that event to make a much needed change in your life and to make an effort to preach the gospel cross country, going above and beyond in saving the lives of younger adults and to help in preventing them from taking the same road you did, is a reason to be commended. Yes, I've heard a few people say that you should not be celebrated because it is the very thought and actions like yours that is occurring in inner cities in America, but it is like I always say, we all make mistakes some small and others large, the most important thing is to take from it a valuable lesson and avoid repeats.

A year and a day is a longtime; It is time that you can not get back, it is a year from your life. Instead of looking at all of the negatives, I hope that you will see the positives. See that with this year off you will have time to think. Think about your future, the well being of your family, and think about mentally growing as a person. Be grateful for the time that you were given and understand that it could always be worst.

You have made a difference in lives as a result of your actions. And although it could have been avoided remember that in life nothing happens by chance, there is always an underlining blueprint. When you come out, hopefully you will be a new person and would have learned a wealth of knowledge that you would not have learned while free. Sometimes to be grateful we have to be stripped from the one thing we take for granted, and in that we learn because experience gives light to knowledge. Good luck and remember to always keep your head up.

Sincerely,

M.Y.

M.Y.'s open letter to Diddy

Dear Diddy,

There are some things that have been troubling me as well as some of your close and personal fans. I have been asked the same exact question time and time again from music fans and the occasional observing music listeners that are a little perplexed at the current and past situations that always involves you; and that question is, why can't artists last on Bad Boy?

Now I have to admit, when Carl Thomas went missing, I took a very solid oath that I would refrain from admiring artist that were signed under Bad Boy out of fear that if I so much as liked them, they would vanish like condoms at a brothel; but unfortunately, I let my guard down when it came to friggin' Danity Kane.

And then it happened again, you disbanded the group (although I'm sure they wouldn't want to be a part of the group judging by their attitudes during the rap-up live airing of Making The Band 4) but dammit what the hell happened?! Is Bad Boy Records kryptonite to rising artists?

I have been a self-taught "student" to the music business from the time I could speak the word "billboard" so I know that the music business can be a little shaky (remove the letters "ak" and replace with "d") and not everyone is cut out for it's harsh realities; but why is it that a good majority of your artists never make it past 2 albums? It always seems to be the same fairy tale nightmare with Bad Boy Records and the artists that sign to it. We either never hear from them again or they go on to have lukewarm careers (ahem, Slim). Everyone seems to drop off of Bad Boy like flies, except for B.I.G. (rest his soul) and... well...you.

Words can not describe the amazing music mogul you have become. You have branched out to do many things and have inspired a lot of people, even Russell Simmons himself; and because of that I have to tip my hat off to you. However, It is astonishing how people are still interested in signing to Bad Boy given your track record of dropping them like bad habits before they can even get their feet dirty in the industry. Not to mention, there are a few of your ex-artists that have gone on to write diss records towards you and a tell-all book (ahem, Mark Curry) and still you seem to continue to prosper.

On behalf of the music fans that care, we ask that you sign artists that you think are going to last more than 3 years and stick around for the long haul, it is only right. Let's start here, I am actually starting to kind of like Day 26, can you please keep them around? And you said that you will be looking for another all-girl group, can you please pick girls that can actually tolerate each other?

In case you haven't noticed, people would like to know why artists can not last on your label, so let's try twittering that.

Sincerely,

M.Y.

*New* M.Y's open letter to Que of Day 26

Dear Que,

I am seriously getting quite annoyed with your constant bickering and male ego that you just can not seem to get under control. Last night while I watched you pout and moan about not getting your way and being mad with X, Y, and Z I just really wanted to reach into my television screen and knock you out like how Akon's bodyguard did Suge. If I didn't pay $705.32 for my flat screen I would have lunged my slipper at it in hopes that you would have happened to feel it.

You need to man up and quick. All this arguing and accusing people of being jealous of you is so 6th grade and has got to stop bruh. You look like a fool arguing about going to go dance instead of record. If you don't record the song, please tell me what it is you are supposed to dance to?! Dammit, Dawn is more man than you!

I must express to you that I am sorry that you had to experience the hard knock life of the NYC streets but I think you brought that on to yourself. You always attract bad when you put out bad, and last time I checked not too many people get robbed in NY anymore; so like Mike said, that says a lot about your character.

So, let's try to suck it up and check the b*tchassness at the door. It's doing wonders for ratings but you are becoming as intolerable as the smell of someone constantly passing gas. Plus, I must add that you are very lucky that you are even allowed to put out another album on Bad Boy, they have a very strict criteria. Some of their artists don't last past one album, so count your blessings.

Sincerely,
M.Y.

P.S. please tell Diddy to tone it down a bit on the show...he can be a bit much during his solo moments.

On the charts...
