Drugs, legal, and just personal problems clouded the "Rehab" singer's future in the past, but things are starting to look up with word of a new collaborative effort that has Amy's name written all over it.
According to MTV, The Roots' drummer ?uestlove and Amy Winehouse will team-up to form a supergroup. Hopefully Amy will behave and maybe we will get a great album out of the deal.

Song Of The Week: Amy Winehouse-Mr. Magic
This weeks SOTW is courtesy of Amy Winehouse with her song "Mr. Magic" off of her album Back To Black.
Amy must have been my biggest disappointment musically. When she came out I was totally staning for her. I thought she was prepared to change up the genre of R&B/Soul and bring a brand new style to the table with her soulful voice and dare-to attitude, instead she becomes a dope fiend. Of course in her defense, a lot of talented artists have not so fabulous lives and have hit rock bottom at some point in their lives, which contributes to their effortless musical talents; crazy but true.
Mr Magic (Through The Smoke) - Amy Winehouse
Amy's album Back To Black has to be one of my favorite albums, it embodies all of the greatness a music fanatic like myself can appreciate and I recommend that you pick it up to add to your collection. "Mr. Magic" is one of my favorite songs, it kind of reminds me of sitting in a Jazz club listening to a songtress that has had one too many glasses of gin and tonic pour her heart out on the mic, just brilliant.
Amy is reportedly working on a brand new album that has no release date as of yet. Here's to her following up with a chart shattering album.

Amy Winehouse morphs heartache into music

Amy's life is like a script right out of ABC's All My Children. Apparently, her mess of a husband Blake went ahead and impregnated a fellow rehabber while he was in rehab getting rehabilitated for a drug and alcohol problem.
Upon hearing the news, Amy grabbed her guitar and started to pen an emotional "betrayal song". The song is said to describe her roller coaster relationship with her husband Blake. Amy is currently working on an album in St. Lucia. This is good news for those of you who are still Amy Winehouse fans.
When Amy first came out, I was so excited that there was an influx in quality music being made. She had the voice of a big black woman and soul for days. Then she started to live by her last name (the lord works in mysterious ways) and became a full blown alcoholic then worst, a crack head.
I just hope she can get her stuff together and be a legit and serene artists. Then again, maybe it was her "one thread short of psychotic" life that gave way to great music because her album Back To Black was too good to be true.
