VIDEO PREMIERE: AMERIE FT. FABOLOUS 'MORE THAN LOVE'

Here is the new video from Amerie for her song "More Than Love" that features Fabolous. The single appears on Amerie's album In Love & War.

The video is pretty basic but I love the narration she gave at the start of the video. It sets the story up with the video that adds a little more authenticity.

Amerie's album is one of her best and it really is a shame that it did not perform well on the charts. Another uncovered gem of 2009.

YUMMY PERFORMANCES: AMERIE ON JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE

Amerie recently performed her song "Heard Em All" during a taping of Jimmy Kimmel live.

I think she did a great job, the song (which I didn't like at first) has really grown on me and I can tell that she has been working on perfecting her live performances which shows.

Not really understanding the horse hair jacket, but like Chris Brown says ,it's fashion so whatev.

Video Premiere: Amerie-Heard 'Em All

Here is the new video from Amerie for her song "Heard 'Em All" off of her album In Love & War.

I am loving the fact that Amerie is stepping out of her comfort zone. I have always said that she has a sort of sensuality about her that she just hasn't tapped into yet; this video shows that she has started to find her sexy and in addition, sprinkled a little edge on for size.

On the other hand, I really do not like the song. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Amerie has the type of vocals that would sit beautifully on ballads or on tracks that tend to use natural instrumentation or soft sounds. That is one of the reasons why her voice sat pretty on the "1 Thing" track.

I'm not sure how her album is going to turn out. I haven't been blown away by any of the songs I've heard thus far. I am just hoping that we can get a song like "I Just Died" which appeared on her debut album All I Have.

Here is new music from Amerie titled "Red Eye". The track will appear on Amerie's new album In Love & War which is due in stores in August.

I purposely listened to this song twice so that I could give it a chance being that I have been giving so much lip about her singing on softer ballads, but this song damn near put me to sleep.

Don't get me wrong it has it's great parts but the song was a little too slow for my taste. I still have hope that this new album will do her career some justice, I say this with my fingers crossed.

Amerie premiered her brand new video for her song "Why R U" off of her album In Love & War due in stores August 2009.

The video is cool with the graphics and writings on the wall. I love her style but the song in my opinion could be better. I'm still waiting for her to release a ballad, I could so see it sitting at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

In other Amerie news, she sets the record straight about her label change from Columbia to Def Jam. She says that she was not dropped but that she left the label for a new beginning. I guess the criteria for Columbia these days lays in whoever can replicate the success of Beyonce.

Amerie returns with a new label, new look, and a new song. Titled "Tell Me You Love Me", Amerie gives us another club track that is filled with high intensity that puts her sweet vocals to the test.



Honestly, this sounds a lot like "1 Thing" and "Take Control". I like it, it has a DC go-go sound but it's still the same ol', same ol'. When I found out that Amerie was coming out with a new album on a new label, I was hoping to hear a different side to her.

I was looking forward to more ballad like tracks where she could attack a smooth beat with her vocals, dang it I was looking for a song like "Why Don't We Fall In Love" the song that first put us on to Amerie. These type of songs where she's screaming on a track is OK, but her voice deserves so much more.

Chrisette was there and performed at the event. Being at number one on the Billboard charts really does wonders for the complexion I see....

Amerie was in the house and unveiled a photo for the promo of her new upcoming album "In Love & War". I just can't get with the red lip on her she is such a simple beauty, all she needs is some chapstic and cocoa butter and she would be good to go....

Introducing...Kristina DeBarge (center); Babyface's (pictured left) new protege and artist. Kristina comes from a long line of musically talented family members. If you haven't already noticed the last name maybe the song "Rhythm Of The Night" by ol' school all-brother R&B group DeBarge may ring a bell (is it me, or do we have a DeBarge out as an artist like every decade?!). This is of course not the most appropriate way to make an introduction, what with her panties being exposed by the bad, bad camera man, but hey this little lady just might be here to stay.

Ladies, these are not "public transportation" shoes these are "in car shoes"; you need to have the assistance of a car to wear them. They may not look high but those bad girls might cause a hurting on your piggies after 2 hours of use; you have been warned...

Side Order: It is such a shame that her career hasn't taken off yet. She has a great voice and great look, I guess she wasn't willing to play on her sex appeal enough, that and get her some gifted songwriters and producers. Maybe this new deal with Def Jam might do her some good. Either way, you looking good girl! Amerie's album is scheduled to be released later on this year, I'll keep you updated.
