The much anticipated performance that has been promoted since the start of the year went down last night on Saturday Night Live. Jay-Z took to the stage for a record 8 minutes to perform a medley of his hits.
The performance started with "Public Service Announcement" with "99 Problems" and Empire State of Mind receiving some attention along the way.
Staying true to his all-black trend, Jay was dressed in a studded black leather vest and dark shades with a simple white t-shirt and jeans.
For his final set, Jay-Z performed "Young Forever", a song that appears on his album Blueprint 3, and brought out singer Mr. Hudson. Jay dedicated the song and performance to the show's host Betty White.
I don't know about anyone else but the mega highlight for me was before the performance even started. Something about hearing Betty White, Ms. Golden Girl herself, saying Jay-Z's name with excitement made my week.
Jay-Z reportedly has a greatest hits album coming out on June 29 so keep your eyes peeled for that.
