[NEWS] Lyfe Jennings Heads Back To Jail

Do y'all remember two years ago when news broke out that Lyfe Jennings was arrested for a DUI and participating in a car chase between himself and some cops?

The charges to be exact were for "DUI test refusal, criminal trespassing, discharging a weapon near a street, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer."

Apparently, Lyfe decided to fire several shots from his .40 caliber (that was probably unregistered) before fleeing the scene in his car. He probably was thinking that he didn't want to go back to jail and thought handling the situation like an OG was the wisest course of action.

It wasn't.

Here is a new video from Lyfe Jennings for his song "Statistics." This song was inspired by comedian/actor Steve Harvey's book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man - a book that gives relationship advice.

This song is the best of both worlds. It sounds great and it has a self-help message weaved into it. Lyfe Jennings can do no wrong when it comes to his craft.

I will forever remember his humble beginnings and how he stole the show when he competed at Apollo's amateur night wearing a goose down jacket and scuffed timberland boots with his guitar by his side. This guy is the truth!

Here is new music from Lyfe Jennings with his song titled "Haters". The song has a pretty good feel and I am loving the beat.

Moving away from the song, I have a little bone to pick with the title that is not relative to Lyfe's song.

This word "hater" has been tossed around like hot bread and it is getting rather annoying and redundant.

In some instances, I feel that the words use is very appropriate; but recently, it's association with everything is getting a little out of hand. It seems like if an opinion is different from the majorities it is automatically filed under "hater", it really needs to stop. I prefer to refer to people who are seen as haters to those who don't want to hear the truth, as truth-tellers. Collectively, can we please let the word go.

Lyfe Jennings is set to drop another album!

Lyfe Jennings is preparing to re-enter with a new album and label. Lyfe is no longer with his label Sony Entertainment and has now started his own label Jesus Swings under Warner Brother's Entertainment umbrella.

He has also gone for a total career revamp and has switched up management teams and is now in close business relations with Keyshia Coles manager and cousin Manny Halley under his entertainment group Imani Entertainment Group. I love it.

Manny has worked his tail off to get Keyshia where she is right now and continues to do a fantastic job in marketing her so he gets mucho kudos. Here is what Lyfe had to say about his new ventures,

"Manny is the first manager who I really feel gets me and just like he’s done great things with superstar Keyshia Cole, we’re gonna do great things together, for music and our communities."

Very excited for both Lyfe and Manny. Lyfe is a phenomenal artists with a great voice and socially conscious sound and he will more than likely be cemented in music as a legend if he works at it. He's come a long way from that Apollo Amateur Night Stage.
