The singer was recently gifted a plot by Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley in the "up market area" of Apes Hill in her native home of Barbados.
Michael Lashley gave Rihanna the land free of charge to thank her for her constant promotion of her homeland which has boosted international interest for Barbados.
That's what I'm talking about. Something that has the ability to continue to earn her money if she so chooses to let it.
There are, however, some Bajan politicians who aren't too happy with Michael's decision to give Rihanna free land while there are those who are currently living in poverty in Barbados.
They feel that Rihanna who already has money should not be given free things such as land just because she is rich and famous. In other words, they feel she should use her own money to get the land.
Will be interesting to see how this turns out...
