With all due respect, when I first saw this pic of former rapper Loon I thought it was some kind of photoshop joke; turns out this is a very real thing and the artist formerly known as Loon, who now goes by Amir Junaid Muhadith, is now a part of the nation of Islam.
If you can remember, when Loon first came out via Bad Boy, everyone was convinced that he was to serve as a replacement for Mase who at the time left Bad Boy to live the life of a pastor. Of course, Mase came back trying to put out righteous rap and later went back into practising his ministry.
Anyway, Loon has now converted to Islam and seems to be very happy. Why did he make such a decision? He says that the lifestyle of a Hip-Hop artist turned out to be a little too much for him and he wanted something that would bring him clarity and allow him to live a serene lifestyle. Judging by the interview he did, It seems like Loon is a devout Muslim, go figure!
Mase on the other hand is preparing to make his umpteenth comeback. That's right kids, Pastor Mase is hanging up his robe to pick up a mic and has already gotten his feet wet in the studio with a remix to Drake's "Best I Ever Had".
Talk about flip flopping from one profession to the next, geez.
