How long has it been with this beef...2 months? 50 doesn't care about time but more so with ruining Ross' image one day at a time, and his persistence probably will never end. In a recent sit down with MTV, 50 talks about Ross' prediction of selling 12 million copies of Deeper Than Rap in it's first week *snikers* and how Rick will end up working at a Pizzeria by the time he's done with him.
"Why is there a Rick Ross and 50 Cent [beef]? It was just bad timing. It was publicity for his part why he jumped out there, but bad timing and no plan. He's gonna get mauled. People are gonna look at it like, 'Wow, that was like a Mike Tyson one-minute-and-thirty-second knockout. You didn't make it past your second week's sales."
50 talks about how this battle will ruin Ross' career,
"When people get more publicity than they usually get — from an artist's standpoint — and it has nothing to do with their music, what usually happens is you make the public totally aware of you. Which is good until the release date, and you see no one has bought your record. The public is totally aware you're trash and your material's not generating any interest. That's when you do the damage to yourself, because you don't want more publicity than your actual music is commanding."
And what is Rick's next career move according to 50?
"It never gets worse than this. You get a guy that was a correctional officer come out and base his entire career on writing material from a drug dealer's perspective. When he loses this [battle], he can't even go back to his day job because the correctional officers are upset that you wanted to portray that message. He's gonna work at the pizza shop when I'm done with him."
Personally, I'm getting a little bored with the beef because I feel Rick is getting slaughtered. The last video he put out was pretty sad and not funny to the up most power of unfunny.
Either he's got a lot of "yes men" around him amping him up or he's in denial.
Can 50 ruin Ross' career? Honestly, I thought Ross' career was over after he was exposed as being a Correctional Officer.
Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong, IMO, in having a job in law enforcement, it only becomes a problem when you create this image of being a drug pushing bad boy who supposedly made a bundle off of dealing "weight"; for that Ross, you fail.
Plus, Ross had no business putting 50 in a rhyme just because he [50] had problems with a close affiliate of his; let them fight their own battles because now it's messing with his money. In case you missed the memo Ross, you are quite the comical topic these days.
So on your way out, don't forget to punch your time card playa.
Side Order: I can't lie though, "Magnificent" with John Legend is a hot track.
