Kelly Rowland dropped from Columbia Records

In some not so shocking news (for me that is), it has been reported that Kelly Rowland has been dropped from Columbia Records roster and is officially a free agent. Kelly parted ways with longtime manager Matthew Knowles at the start of 2009 which according to him...

"After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and, as a dad, I only have love for Kelly."
Kelly left with cordial words as well by saying...

"Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance - both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family."
I wonder how they are going to be able to continue to do business as Destiny's Child if she is no longer an artst under Columbia Records. Does this mean that Destiny's Child is no more? I can't help but to feel for Kelly but to also be happy for her.

It seems like her career has not been able to take off as a solo artst. She has done well for herself selling 3 million records of Simply Deep worldwide but never duplicating the success of her fellow group member Beyonce.

We will send positive and wishful vibes Kelly's way in hopes that she can have a successful career here on out.

Maybe admitting to having that boob job wasn't the best idea....

Kelly is said to be filming as a co-host for The Fashion Show, a reality TV project.
