With his cartoon that is. In case you missed it, Andre 3000 of Outkast has a cartoon that airs on the Cartoon Network named Class of 3000. It's so good it has won an Emmy. Well, Andre is ready to bring the cartoon to life on stage!
Running until March 29th, Class Of 3000 will be playing out on stage at the Atlanta Alliance Theater and will be an hour long. It will feature original songs from Andre as well as star many of Atlanta's cultural leaders. Kudos to Dre!
I really loved the movie Idlewild and am patiently waiting for another Brian Barber/Outkast movie; plus, I just adore Andre.
Seems like Hip Hop is getting comfortable on stage. It has also been reported by sources that Jim Jones will be taking the stage once again to put on his play that is based on his life called Hip Hop Monologues: Inside The Life And Mind Of Jim Jones.
Side Order: Very disappointed in Jim after watching that video of him cursing out security at the Hyatt in Atlanta because his card was declined. Damn mess...
The show will run for 4 nights at Manhattan's 37 Arts Theater. You can visit ticketmaster for more info on it.
