Keisha Chante NOT playing Aaliyah?!

I have to say that I am absolutely confused. I initially did not report on the whole Aaliyah movie story because I had not received any emails about it and I found it to be pretty random.

In a call to MTV to deny that Keisha was not involved in the Chris Brown and Rihanna drama and that she did not send the text that supposedly set Rihanna off, Keisha Chante's manager, Mona Scott set the record straight that Keisha will not be playing Aaliyah in the biopic of the deceased singer. She did go on to say that-that would be a "great opportunity" if this in fact were true.

So who is going to play Aaliyah? Better yet, is there really an Aaliyah biopic in the works? To be continued...

Side Order: Here's a yummy fact. Keisha made an appearance in the Bow Wow video featuring Chris Brown for "Shortie Like Mine". Hmmm interesting. Now it's not so random how she "might" have been involved huh? Catch her at the 2:04 mark.
